About Substance
Substance has been a major pioneer and leader in the pushing of deep bass & soundsystem culture for many years. In the booth, his deep and dark sound have been an essential part of the Canadian Underground Bass Music for almost a decade, garnering support from some of the dubstep industries biggest names and labels across the world. He also had a major hand in the growth of the deep dubstep community back home through his co-founded company DirtyCake which has hosted some of Canada’s and beyond finest Producer’s & DJ’s since 2012. With a collaboration with Youngsta, a remix from Pushloop and a few upcoming releases on big labels, you might want to keep an eye on that substance."

18-year-old Canadian Native saunters in having quickly made a name for himself in the underground Bass scene; with an impressive back catalogue of releases and getting placements in big Editoral playlists such as “Tirade”.

Pulling his inspiration from both heavy and deep genres, combining elements from Dubstep, Electronic, Trap, and Deep Dubstep he shows no signs of stopping with bigger labels picking him up and seemingly painting a bright future for the young maestro.

Now signed to //DarkMode, this debut release full of sub-low rumbles and eerie breaks reflects a dungeon-esq sound that really is the stuff of nightmares.

EA Review: Mrshl - You Know EP [FA041]

Los Angeles sweetheart mrshl plays on dubstep's heartstrings with the sensual and energetic You Know EP on Foundation Audio. Title track "You Know" sets the mood of the release with vibrant synths and sexy low-end wobbles, immediately embracing an upbeat style reminiscent of Silkie. "Fuccboi" triggers the genre's collective nostalgia with a familiar sample from Dizzee Rascal's classic grime tune "I Luv U."
