One of most-likiest guys on the planet, Arnaud aka L' Aquarium is a multi-talented entrepeneur thanks to his diverse activities such as being the CEO of Aquarium Radio (Host to many famous Nu-Disco radio shows) , the CEO of the Belle Boutique record-label and a resident-DJ at the stellar Wanderlust-nightclub in Paris. Glenn Dale, a extremly talented and often in Paris-DJing Californian from the Los Angeles-area, is signed to Arnaud's label and his productions are always keep you dancing like crazy. He reworked "Blow Your Mind", and even though the original was a huge success, the remix is even topping it easily!

Jack The Box Boiler Room Berlin 60 Min DJ Set

The fifth in Joe Acheson's annual series of studio mixtapes for Tru Thoughts Records comes in two parts, and is timed to celebrate the upcoming release of 'Archipelago Remixes EP (Part 2)', the follow-up to 2013's first remix EP of the second Hidden Orchestra album.

The main theme of the mixtape is remixes, both of and by Hidden Orchestra, and the mix also contains the customary eclectic wealth of music from around the world, multi-layered mashups and reworkings, field recordings, and plenty of spoken word including interviews and poetry recitals.

Part 2 of the mix will be released in the next few weeks.

The only full tour the Hidden Orchestra live band are making in 2014 is around Europe from March 26th to the end of April - there will also be a few one-off gigs and festival appearances - www.hiddenorchestra.com/dates

Late 2013 their most recent album 'Chrome Waves' dropped, and now they have finally found some time to start up their first weekly radioshow for Dutch FM radio station SUBLIME FM. Don't expect their regular dj sets, which are more clubby, but more a dynamic mix of smooth, raw, rare discotheque and warehouse finds in f.e. funk, soul, jazz and disco, combined with the dancefloor sounds of nu disco, deephouse and electronica of today.

Panik Pop has been touring throughout Germany since 2010 with their brand of music, and has been winning audiences over at live events featuring SonneMondSterne, Sputnik SpringBreak or Sunshine live.

"In making our This Is It EP, we found that there were a lot of tracks released in the last year or so that stood out to both of us, tracks that, in addition to being great for the dancefloor and well-mixed, have uniquely engaging, dark qualities. So when making this mix, we sought out to demonstrate what influenced us while making our EP by collecting some of those songs and pairing them with ours.  There are a lot of exciting things happening within this style of music right now and it’s not always apparent to the casual onlooker.  The artists and labels featured in this mix are a few among many that we consider to be purveyors of excellent taste and curators of aesthetics that are both powerful and provocative."

At the end of october a white label pressing of “Make It Good” caused a stir in club land. The track impressed Gilles Peterson so much that he licenced it right away for his next Brownswood Bubble compilation. Now, finally we have the official release on Sonar Kollektiv hitting the stores. Next to the original version the 12inch is equipped with a remix by veteran Phon.o.

The Bristish duo The White Lamp called attention to themselves for the first time with a release on Futureboogie in April. Now they already produce a masterpiece with “Make It Good”. A track that works probably in every club of this world. The hypnotic bassline lures the laziest butt on the dancefloor and when the vocals set it, then, well then there’s no holding back anymore.

The already very impressive remix portfolio of the old hand Berliner Phon.o is now enriched with a further gem. The additional synth chords and the radical vocals re-arrangement turn the track into a confidently stylish hybrid of Chicago House and Techno.

With the digital release you get the Galactic Disco Mix and the incredible remix by Hannes Fischer. This youngster purely kills the game at the moment. He strips the track down to the bone, dresses it with a new bassline and a sassy shuffle beat and let it breath. This way the vocals shine even brighter and become anthem-like. Is this the longawaited redefinition of deep house?
