Qaypz is a DJ and producer from East Belgium active in the belgian electronic music scene since several years. He is the founder of the Krank’m’Haus organisation which brings to light outstanding artists from its native region and other countries. Underground sounds have always fascinated him. His love for Berlin clubs and its raving experience has influenced him pretty much in his artistic vision. He pays particularly attention to striking kicks on dark and industrial pads, meeting sometimes glum melodies, everything guided by a stunning rythm into his techno journey. In this podcast, Qaypz gathers several tracks from notable artists/friends who have been so far collaborating for Krank’m’Haus in one or another way.

After experiencing the underground Techno scene in Barcelona,
Venezuelan engineer Alfredo Lunar decided
follow his passion for music, consolidating little
little by little his career as an artist by playing in various
clubs and bars in the city, such as The Garage
of the Bass Valley, City Hall, Drome, among others.
With influences from Berlin and Detroit, his sets reach
a balance between hard and hypnotic rhythms
that will take you on a journey where body and mind
connect through sounds from the most
dark to the most crystalline.
In turn, together with VJ JOLY, he is co-creator and DJ
resident of ECLIPSE LUNAR, an audiovisual agency
that seeks to promote electronic music
underground as an artistic expression, focusing
in the symbiosis between music and images to
achieve a multisensory experience. His work
has led them to collaborate with DJs and producers
such as Nastia, Boris (Ostgut Ton/Berghain), ØTTA,
Klangkuenstler, Paula Cazenave, Candy Cox, and
The Unborn Child; as well as artists
visuals like Acid Thermal, Lola Haze and many
others.

For his mix for Miao Music he kept a steady groove of hypnotic techno at a nice rolling fast pace for the listener. It's a sound that he's been attracted to lately as he's been playing more peak hour and closing sets around Adelaide.

Based in Berlin by way of Madrid, he's made quite a name for himself in the last couple of years. In 2014 he joined the KEY imprint and later became part of the Unbroken Booking agency, a established collective of friends and artists from Berlin. Hector has also released superlative works on Sonntag Morgen, Quant, and Mutewax along with a slew of spectacular remixes that have been played by superstar djs around the world. At the start of this year 2016, he founded his own imprint, OAKS, with its first release being one of his strongest works yet. Sound-wise, what is unique about Hector is his uncanny sense of producing truly evoking and outstanding pieces of timeless techno. Powerful, deep, raw and emotive his sound juxtaposes classic and soulful Detroit with Berlin's modern raw and powerful sound, meanwhile infusing his trademark of authentic and enthralling melodies. In this mix for us, he delivers a seminal session full of good old, stomping techno mixed with exquisite, varied textures. Philippe Petit is originally from Brussels, Belgium, where he started DJing in the early nineties. After spending 15 years in London, he moved to Chamonix, France, in 2010 where he started two vinyl labels: Knotweed Records and Decision Making Theory (DMT). He has a string of techno releases on his own labels, as well as on Pole Group, Figure SPC, EartoGround etc.
