As you know I love drum & bass, and there are tons of great tracks which had a huge impact on my taste, one of them is 'Valley Of The Shadows' by duo Origin Unknown (Andy C & Ant Miles). When I started exploring more and more drum & bass after hearing firstly Sub Focus, Pendulum, and The Prodigy stuff, I bumped into this great classic. The arp, atmosphere, samples and everything is pure gold for me! So I've started trying to recreate this sound with the help of Stranjah's youtube tutorial (check his youtube, great stuff). I've been working a while to get this original sound, and in the further process of remaking I came up with the remix! Here it is! Hope you like this vibe. Big up to the early original RAM Records crew, this track is such a great classic!

This crazy idea somehow worked & the doofers got their first taste of gabber & hardcore, participating in some Hakken dance instruction, and enjoying a bowl of "Gabberpops" cereal to start the day 🥴🤣 Excellent sets by all that morning.

Sadly our dance instructor & MC were both plugged into a different mixer to the DJ mixer, so neither has made it onto the recording... For the full experience, I guess you just "had to be there!"

Also I accidentally packed an earlier mix of the last tune I played. D'oh! I'm sure nobody noticed.. XD but given I already played that one on another RPLAYG set, I have replaced it here with a brand spankin' new one <3

From Old Skool Hardcore, Jungle and Drum n Bass, through to Nu Skool Breaks, Future Jungle and Dubstep, expect nothing less than a flurry of the baddest broken beats, low frequencies, heavy basslines, samples & scratching. First introduced to the sounds of Old Skool Hardcore and Jungle Tekno on mixtapes and raves in 1992, some of Kranky’s earliest electronic music influences were DJs such as Angus, Thief, Jen-E, DJ Hype, Easygroove, Tango & Ratty, Carl Cox, Slipmatt, Krome & Time, Ratpack and the Prodigy.
