They’re crashing the gates with a flood of lies,
Rigged elections and FBI spies.
It’s ballots dumped and suitcases stuffed,
Dominion rigged, it’s never enough.
“Fake electors,” they shout in swing states,
Pressuring lawmakers to fabricate.
While courts try to untangle threads,
They’re onto the next mess in our heads.

It’s a DDoS on democracy,
A Gish Gallop unleashed deliberately.
Flooding the news, breaking the trust,
Wearing down systems built to be just.
With every scandal, they spin and scheme,
Till truth collapses under the stream.

An insurrection called “patriots' march,”
Where gallows stood under the Capitol’s arch.
“Hang Mike Pence,” they chanted wild,
But Trump claimed it was all mild.
In the Oval, plans were hatched,
Pressure campaigns to overturn the match.
From Georgia calls to fake audits staged,
Flooding every crack with lies and rage.

It’s a DDoS on democracy,
A Gish Gallop that grinds the gears we need.
Overwhelmed with claims and spinning the flaws,
Until the checks buckle in a web of faux laws.
A storm of tweets and media spun,
Until it’s chaos where the truth once won.

He called to Georgia for “11,780” votes,
A demand so clear, it was practically rote.
But when caught, he called it fake news,
Pushing conspiracies in alternate views.
Meanwhile, pardons fly like exit bribes,
For allies who stayed on his side.
Giuliani's hearings pushed wild lies,
Fake witnesses reading scripted alibis.
Judges and cronies stacked at each turn,
To make accountability crash and burn.

It’s a DDoS on democracy,
Every false claim a brick in the spree.
Overloading defenses, bending the law,
Leaving cracks for corruption to crawl.
They count on chaos, bet on noise,
To drown out reason and silence choice.

“Stop the steal” rallies call for arms,
Chaos as tactic, no fear of alarms.
Rittenhouse walks, praised as brave,
A martyr for the lies they crave.
Meanwhile, January 6th hearings stall,
Delayed by filibusters and shadowed calls.
Trump dodges indictments, claims no guilt,
While allies sow rage from platforms he built.

It’s a DDoS on democracy,
The system buckles from their strategy.
Distrust deepens with every blow,
As they keep lying, the cracks grow.
With every court date that comes and goes,
Another plot to keep the chaos stoked.

They’re counting on exhaustion and disarray,
To sweep their lies and crimes away.
It’s a flood meant to drown the guard,
Hoping to leave democracy scarred.
But we’ll hold the line, and patch each break,
Expose every plot and the havoc they make.
For when truth rises above the lies,
We’ll repair what’s been damaged and compromised.

DDoS: A Distributed Denial of Service attack, usually used in cybersecurity. In this context, it’s a metaphor for overwhelming democracy with a flood of misinformation, scandals, and distractions to destabilize and overload its systems.

Gish Gallop: A debate tactic where someone rapidly presents a large number of arguments or falsehoods to overwhelm their opponent. In this song, it represents how political figures use numerous false claims to wear down systems of truth and accountability.

Dominion: Refers to Dominion Voting Systems, a company accused without evidence of tampering with votes during the 2020 U.S. presidential election. The term highlights how baseless accusations were used to undermine public trust in the electoral system.

“Fake electors”: Refers to attempts to have unauthorized individuals claim to be legitimate electors in order to change the outcome of the 2020 election, particularly in swing states where the vote was close.

Insurrection: Refers to the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol, where rioters attempted to overturn the certification of the 2020 presidential election.

"Hang Mike Pence": A chant from some rioters during the Capitol attack, expressing anger at then-Vice President Mike Pence for refusing to reject the electoral votes.
