Graciously funded by the generous support of Initiative Musik, we have not only breathed life into this iconic release but have also empowered BASHKKA to co-direct her very first music video, in collaboration with the visionary director Valentin Noujaim, based in Copenhagen.

For the 12th release on Paraíso, co-founder Shcuro strips things back to assert what truly remains no matter much time may pass.

‘It Lasts Forever’ is the producer’s ode to structural things in his inner life that will keep flowing on unchanged, be it the love for his wife; his reverence to techno - hence the use of classic drum machines like Roland’s 909, 808 and 707; to friendship and community - having one of his dearest mates Steffi take part via the remixer chair.

Steffi picks up the opening track and adds propulsive percussion and further melodic elements to it, creating the perfect gem to close this record.

Next up on summerpup is the debut release and full-length album from Berlin-based artist xupid. Tripped out diverse techno-bass hybrids, cuts and grooves. 

xupid and I first met in Berlin in 2013 and have been exchanging tracks ever since, many of which have been my secret dj weapons over the years. I'm really happy to share these with you now, as xupid's first full release. 

The album is released on 2x12" Vinyl with a beautiful printed sleeve. The silver pieces depicting 'xupid' on the cover and inner labels are individual pieces of silver jewelry metalwork, each designed, handcrafted and photographed by NYC-based artist Sam Shin.

We are so thrilled to have friend, greatly talented artist, and a much-loved person within the scene, Riva as the next guest on Tech Couture’s Juicy Tunes Mix Series <3 

Although Riva’s background originates in classical music and jazz, she fell under the spell of electronic music whilst growing up in the Middle East. From there, her taste and appreciation for music became borderless and eclectic, drawing inspiration from her British-Indian background and experiences of living in Hong Kong and South Africa. Her music does not hinge on one genre as Riva sees music as a form of storytelling and protest, and is always on the hunt for rhythms that can spread a message, unify and emancipate the listener on the dancefloor. A resident for our beloved FOLD, Silk + Steel and Refuge radio, Riva has been captivating dancers at some of the hottest parties, and we can't wait to see what's in store for her 2024.
