Forever Never Knowing

I actually heard this record on a compilation record it was produced by a really talented Florida based producer Gazoo. Immediately when I heard it I showed it to artist Maximus Volume and he immediately recorded a hook to it and the rest was cake.This is a record I wrote about addiction and metaphorically I hoped to convey the comparison between being in love with a woman who might not be right for you as well as a habit that might not be good for you. I hoped to illustrate the similarities as well as the thought process of someone going through it in that it's always a back and forth struggle in their mind as they maneuver through the addiction process until they eventually choose to completely give in.

My name is Christopher Brown (Kris). I hail from Rock Hill SC, grew up in a foster home where I was adopted around the age of three or four, my then parents were older than your average parents being in their sixties and seventies. They had a farm that they tended to and my siblings and I did some hard work. That's where my sense of pride and work ethic came about those days working in the fields. My brother Jammie was my blood brother and he as well had very gifted musical talent. My brother sang like the rest of my true family that were quartet singers and musicians. I was never one to sing or play an instrument, but I did have one that I wanted to play. The saxophone but never got the opportunity. My adoptive parents didn't have the money to invest in things like that. My brother continued on making songs with tapes and cassette recorders and evolving onto computer engineering software. I sat by the radio everyday after school while doing my homework. Listening to Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Lil John and Da Eastside Boyz. All The Mid-90’s and 2000’s mainstream and underground music. My true love for hip hop music came from when I started listening to Lupe Fiasco. Lupe gave me the understanding about music that I didn’t have to be everyone to be a star in the music industry. Common  gave me that same feeling and also Kanye West, CYNE, Nas, Lil Boosie. I loved music but didn’t know of my real family's musical background. I started writing rhymes when I was at the age of eleven, but I never could finish a complete song until I was in my twenties. I guess I needed more experience as a person to give out complete concepts. I joined the military when I was 20 and stayed in for about 4 years and decided to end my time in. I came home to see the struggle I had to go through and for others that around me. How the system was stacked against me as a black man. The areas that we are why we are there the science of it all. I went on a very spiritual journey for three years and came to the conclusion that I was an advocate for my people and any others that go through the struggles I go through. Spiritual struggles, financial, social, relationships, etc. So, with the ability to write and recite musical work I felt the need to share my message to the world. The Black Man's Vision
