Teyata Om Bekandze Bekandze Maha Bekandze Radza Samudgate Soha — this ancient Sanskrit mantra evokes the profound healing energy of the Medicine Buddha. 
Reciting the mantra detaches the mind from overwhelming negative thoughts, the traumas of the past, and the fear of uncertainty.

Listening to this Buddhist mantra, you learn to breathe in all the joy and gratitude towards our lives and breathe out all the bitterness and suffering of the past.

Teyata - it leads you beyond these world's into transcendence

Om - the transcendental Sound vibrations of the Divine.

Bekandze bekandze - brings elimination of pain. The first 'Bekandze' eliminates problems from the mind and body.

The second 'Bekandze' eliminates a deeper pain linked to spiritual suffering.

Maha bekandze - the greatest eliminator of all pain and suffering, that is the Medicine Buddha.

Radza Samudgate refers to the king, or the most Divine, whose wisdom is as wide as the ocean.

Soha is pure devotion, intention, or inner being. And from this, all manifestations occur.

This song was born after a visit to my dear friend Julia, whose home was filled with serene Buddha statues.  This recording is my offering to anyone seeking peace, balance, or inner light on their path.
And it is dedicated especially to Julia.
Let this chant carry you inward, where you can meet your Real Self.

Medicine Buddha Mantra

This is a very old song out of the Yoruban & Santeria traditions - Nigeria, Cuba, & Brazil. I learned recently that it is about those who serve the Orisha Oshun (sometimes Osun) and the brass bracelets they wore that Oshun asked them to rattle. This somehow managed to be mistakenly interpreted and shared by myself and many others as “necklace of love,”  perhaps due to the devotees adoration of the Orisha.  Oshun embodies love and sexuality  and one of her elements is brass, which never rusts. One writer shares "To understand Osun is to know the intelligence, vitality, caring and nourishing abilities of womankind. Long-suffering, cheated, overlooked, and over-worked, but always committed to the survival of humanity. Besides signifying wealth, brass never rusts, it is eternal. In Osun, we have the embodiment of prosperity, love, beauty, elegance, sexuality and sensuality and a divinely sanctioned feminist.
