Vinyāsa consists of artists Freedom Heartsong, CR PanMan and guests. Embracing music as a perpetual Vinyāsa or continuous flow of vibrations, we refer to our art form as Vinyāsa Gita. We feel ALL as Sound, Vibration, and Energy. Recorded spontaneously nights before the Fall Equinox of 2013, Vinyāsa's first album features Freedom Heartsong and CR PanMan playing HandPans, steel tongue drums, flute and stringed instruments, occasionally integrating voice. The HandPans featured on this album are played with uncharacteristic force. As the HandPans' builder, CR understands that this is part of a potentially beneficial conditioning process prior to the instruments' final tuning. As artists, Freedom and CR embraced the opportunity to play with a rare sense of fearlessness and developed Vinyāsa as a result of this experience. Inspired by the yogic concept of Vinyāsa as balance between movement and breath which creates flow, Freedom and CR developed Vinyāsa Gita as a process of aligning musical movements and rhythms to be in tune with each other rather than simply bringing individual instruments into tune themselves. The music shared by Freedom and CR's Vinyāsa explores the intuitive harmonic practice of Vinyāsa Gita.
