Jackin' For Beats  a.k.a DJ-iCEY a.k.a GAMBL

An aspiring sample based instrumental producer, DJ and  recording artist  from Avondale West Auckland city

Musical preferances include Gangsta rap, G-funk, Boom bap, Blues, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Funk and Reggae.
My biggest influences would be Hip hop from the late 80s early 90s and and Dr Dre for his abilty to DJ, produce and rap.

My older cousins whom I grew up with are DJ's and I first got to play on turntables at around 9years old when ever I got the opportunity to.
I started making mixes on a computer program named Acid Pro when I was 11years old.
In 2006 I started making beats and recording a few tracks of my own but then stopped making music to work a full time day job as a qualified Floor Sander. 
6years later I quit my occupation to focus on my music and am now currently studying at The Music and Audio Instutute of New Zealand (M.A.I.N.Z) hoping to perfect my skills and leave my mark on the NZ hip hop scene
