This is not my song, but the basis for the song is about someone who's best friend is to marry and they've just plucked up the courage to express their feelings for them. She felt the same way for so long, but gave up on him because she was always waiting for him to make a move. It took him losing the opportunity to say anything for him to ultimately express his feelings, it was too late however and she hates him for leaving it so long.

Westwood is proud to present K+Lab's latest release, the Wiggy Ep! Featuring a double slice of boom bap inspired glitch hop, this is the New Zealand natives first release to come out of his newly relocated studio in Vancouver, Canada and the results could not be sweeter. Taking a departure from his usual funkified tunes and channeling his love for hip hop he delivers the goods with some straight up bassline rollers.

Enlisting LA-based rapper, EVeryman, on "Banga Boomerang", quirky raps simmer alongside tough beats and tight wobbles, the track takes a turn for the best with an ending so heavy any drum n' bass enthusiast is sure to break their neck. "Wiggy" is another collaboration between New Zealand's Alias and Sam Ross who feature on K+Lab's last album "The Worldly's", as Ross’s bass slaps take centre stage contrasting the sluggish analog bass, glitched vocals and tight cuts from Alias.

It’s a double slice of bass meets hiphop in true K+Lab fashion to hold fans over as the Kiwi producer moves back into his studio over the Canadian winter to finish up his forthcoming full length album, due out on Westwood in early 2018!

This is the first time I am releasing an album as a physical product at the same time as a digital version. The second disc of the double CD set contains 13 additional tracks straight off the vinyl acetates that I composed and created in order to make legit sounding samples for A Color Map of The Sun.

Like always, the album is available in its entirety as a free download via prettylightsmusic.com. For the first time however, I encourage you to purchase a copy of the album. There are two honest reasons for this. The main reason is that as an artist I have always reinvested any success I have directly back into the music, the show and the art that goes along with it. Secondly, this isn't just an album; it is a massive collection of music beyond what is on the CDs that I will continue to put out after the album release. There is an insightful documentary film on the making of this project to be released alongside the launch of the album, as well as a music video for every song. They are all beautiful and uniquely unusual pieces of art.

This "album" is a multi-medium map of my mind and my self. It is personal and honest and I put everything into it. I have stayed on the path of being a completely independent musician and with the help of every supporter and friend, we have transformed a simple idea into a movement, a cultural beacon of light.
