Disquiet Junto Project 0591: The Loneliest Number
The Assignment: Record the first third of a trio.

I started with a track I'm working on since months and which does not work for me. I threw away all but what was originally some kind of Rhodes basis. I rearranged it until I liked it more than the original fully instrumented version. It's now Dmin with only two 4-bar-progressions to Gm and back. It's 90bpm, 6/4. I see plenty of space for Drums, Leads, Vocals, Noises - have fun, if you like ;-)

[Temporarily] deaf in one ear, I chose to do this anyway.

Used mostly fan noises, though many other noises would’ve conformed to the “rauchen” idea. It’s summertime, no AC. Fans are everywhere. So there.

While I do like discontinuous, sudden/fractured collage just fine, instead chose to blend sounds. Especially as my hearing was none too good.

In honor of a well known and beloved old cartoon character, chose to call this Enter Stage Left.  As I could only hear stage left/channel right, I’d start any track there and let it bleed left/stage right. The move from one side to another allowed for a slow process in a short time, implying a longer overall flow than time here allowed.

Track art is an edit of a photo of some old drawing I did. Spray of lines (copied, distended, out of context) seemed to suit this.
