Yuhina (Yuhina Lhamu Lachungpa) is a vocalist, songwriter, composer, and budding electronic music producer from Gangtok, currently based in Bangalore. A corporate Product Designer in the past, she now chooses to express herself through vocal-centric, ethereal electronica. With lyrical themes navigating inner & imaginary worlds and aided by a sonic palette that is intricate, spacious, and not bound by any one particular genre, her experiments thus far have led to a distinctly gritty yet delicate sound that continues to evolve.

'MNEMONIC' by Yuhina is our next EP on Krunk Kulture.

MNEMONIC is an introspective and deeply intimate story in 5 parts about Yuhina's journey spanning 4 years, several dark nights of the soul and multiple rebirths. 

In her own words - "Each track stands as a marker for a personal milestone in uncovering and assimilating factors that acted as either blockers or aids in that journey. Hence, ‘Mnemonic’ - which means “a system such as a pattern of letters, ideas, or associations which assists in remembering something”, helping to bring me back to the Original intention - **Who am I.** Through this project I hope to have created music that helps people, and myself, to go on living and in wonderment of who we really are."

Established in August 2020, KRUNK KULTURE is a record label from the future by KRUNK. "Nuevo Groove" by Hamza Rahimtula is our next EP on Krunk Kulture.

Wind Horse Record boss and Ngoma Collectiv co-founder Hamza Rahimtula lands his first release on ‘Krunk Kulture’. The EP titled “Nuevo Groove”, includes two tracks and is a fantastic blend of house and disco.

The title track, “Nuevo Groove” is an elegant representation of funky house with a touch of Latin inspiration. The main features of the track include jazzy chords, vocal samples, and percussion elements that keep things classic, taking inspiration from America’s house music hub of New York.

‘One Take Funk’ the second track on the EP focuses on Hamza’s Nu-Disco sound, a graceful blend of percussive grooves, chunky bass line, and a well-laid vocal sample. The bass line is particularly funky and groovy and fits perfectly with its embracing rhythm. The variety of sounds keeps things interesting, combining intelligently chosen instruments and stellar sampling.

The two tracks on the EP showcase the deep skill and variety of the artist. This House / Disco inspired production is another representation of quality music the artists always promise to deliver.

The first single of the EP, "Cool Cat, Jazz Cat," combines Farhan's shared passion of House and Jazz, and also a dedication to his pet cat is sure to captivate music lovers worldwide. Seamlessly blending the rhythmic allure of latin jazz with the infectious energy of house music, the track's intricate layers of instrumentation interplay harmoniously, ensuring a captivating and dynamic sonic experience from start to finish.

Kicking off with a dynamic, yet finely tuned, percussion and drums, the track is accompanied by rhythmic Rhodes that have a chromatic movement and a funk inspired bass-line. A saxophone then takes over, supported by jazzy piano riffs, that elegantly compliments the track's underlying groove.

The vivacity of Latin jazz, known for its expressive melodies and infectious rhythms, intertwines seamlessly with the high-energy pulse of house music, resulting in a track that is as culturally rich as it is dancefloor-friendly.
