KAR-L’s ‘Borrowed Time’ EP on his 3MOON Records mines fresh ground with the dark, heavy, unrelenting drum funk of the title track. It is underpinned by dubby bass and topped with rattling, evocative chords. The fantastic 'Instinct' ups the intensity with tightly coiled loops, urgent rhythm and low-end, and unsettling synth motifs that twitch in the distance and draw you ever further down the rabbit hole.
