'Peter & David compose Common Tribe - two old high school friends from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, who share a very strong passion for underground electronic music, specifically Techno.

After countless discussions and 'how sick would it be' chats, the lads decided to come together as a joint alias, to define their understanding of Techno through their own production. Since coming together, the boys have made a quick imprint in the European Techno scene, signing releases across multiple German labels. Common Tribes well curated sets and heavy hitting productions would only leave you wanting for more!

Enter The Tribe Vol. 2

Peter & David compose Common Tribe, a collaborative duo project formed by two lifelong friends who hail from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. With a deep-rooted passion for underground electronic music, particularly Techno, the duo embarked on a journey to express their shared understanding of the genre through their own music production. Their aim was to craft compositions that embody their unique interpretation of Techno and contribute to the evolving landscape of electronic music.

The name "Common Tribe" was conceived to encapsulate their shared vision to transcend societal boundaries and create a collective identity rooted in a shared passion for sound. "Common Tribe" embodies the new underground nature of techno culture, rebellion against mainstream norms, and the transformative potential of a communal journey into the depths of rhythm and sound while it taps into the old primal instincts and ancient connections, evoking a raw and inclusive energy.

Since their collaboration, Common Tribe has swiftly made its mark in the European Techno scene, establishing a notable presence by securing multiple record deals with various esteemed German labels such as Eclipse Recordings & GRYPHON where they went on to release one of their most popular EP’s ‘Dance of the Siren’. Aiming to have a firm foothold in the European Techno scene, Common Tribe continues to create and share their musical vision, further solidifying their place within the global Techno community.

Through their releases, Peter and David showcase their ability to capture the essence of Techno in its purest form and subtly add on to the layers of simple complexity.  Their tracks display meticulous attention to detail, combining driving rhythms, hypnotic melodies, and captivating soundscapes that resonate with the reveler's journey.

recognition in the European Techno scene, signing multiple record deals with esteemed labels such as ‘Gryphon Records’, ‘Eclipse Recordings’ & ‘Mercurial Tones’ to name a few. 

Their tracks showcase meticulous attention to detail, combining driving rhythms, hypnotic melodies, and captivating soundscapes. Their latest EP, "Forgotten," released through X&Y Records, features two tracks and includes a remix by renowned Australian Progressive Techno producer Alegra. The EP received a stellar response, particularly the remix, which made its debut at the Bush Techno stage of Esoteric Festival. Common Tribe's continued musical vision and collaborations solidify their position in the Techno community and exemplify the power of friendship and shared passion in the transformative potential of music.
