The next installment in our guest mix series belongs to the Italian artist Andrea Morana, also known as Runaway Horses. We asked Andrea to compile his favorite ambient tracks, and he came up with this ultra-relaxed and minimalistic mix, in which you can definitely hear the roots and inspirations of his own project.

Aether #003 by Runaway Horses

“The Path To Infinity”, that’s the name of this set, recorded from vinyl in St. Petersburg bar Kiki at the end of May 2024. The title was chosen in memory of Tim's younger brother, who died tragically in June 2024 during a voyage to the South Pole on a research ship…

Shutupandlisten and Tim Ohta are a married couple who have been collecting vinyl for years. They occasionally perform b2b ambient sets, and Tim Ohta also spins techno, house and other electronic dance music by himself. At the end of July they will go to play at a festival called "Quadrat" in the Republic of Mari El.

The photo was taken by Tim in the city of Kronstadt, and symbolises that “Path to Eternity”.

Biography: 
First of all I like to congratulate [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] with their anniversary. 5 years of DUBBISM podcasts and 3 years of label releases is something to be proud off. When I was approached with the question if I could record a mix to celebrate, it was a nobrainer. Lately I mix less and am mostly in my studio to produce new music. Creating something from nothing is very rewarding. Since producing music is about storytelling, you can hear this in my mixes too. They are not for the dancefloor anymore but are created for headphones. Relaxing with your headphones on and drifting away for the duration of the mix. I hope this mix brings you as much joy as the music curated has brought me. Get ready for deep, dub ambient music.
