Welcome back to The Chapel.

Introduction:
For Episode 022 we have quite the bite ahead, as we dive into the sub-world of Electro music and what makes this genre such a staple to this day. I will resurface some of the Electro greats including: Soulwax, Digitalism, Mumbai Science, The Bloody Beetroots, and Proxy. 

Genre Characteristics: 
The significance of this genre is built into its characteristics. Born of funk, hip-hop, disco, and synth-pop, Electro typically makes heavy use of sine waves, offbeat rhythms, and a relatively fast tempo. Electro is typically faster than House music and features more aggressive basslines. This aggressive nature is emphasized by the distorted/industrial drum, particularly the iconic Roland TR-808. The tapping beats, handclaps/clicks, and keyboard basslines of this genre provides its strong hold on the scene since the 1980s.

A great deal of research thanks is given to Dr. Lektroluv on this episode's track selections. His iconic, Elektrik World compilations help curate the sounds ahead. Little bit about him...
•	Dr. Lektroluv is known for wearing a distinctive green mask that conceals his identity. His masked persona adds an air of intrigue and playfulness to his performances.
•	As a DJ and producer, Dr. Lektroluv has been at the forefront of the electro movement for over 15 years. Hailing from Belgium, he has left an indelible mark on the global electronic music scene.
•	Elektrik World: Dr. Lektroluv presents “Elektrik World”, a deluxe box set CD compilation featuring essential electro classics. This collection includes tracks from renowned artists such as Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Vitalic, Tiga, and more. It’s a treasure trove of golden electro hits 1.

Kryptonicadjs is an Italian DJ duo performing together for over 20 years. Their journey began in London during the late '90s, where they kicked off their careers with back-to-back sets.

After a few years in the UK, they returned to Italy before heading to Ibiza, where they played at various parties and expanded their sound. In 2007, they came back to Italy to launch their party series, GROOVA and GROOVALICIOUS MORNING.

By 2011, they founded their independent label, @https://soundcloud.com/kryptofabbrikk-records , followed by the creation of their radio show format, Into the Needle, in 2013.

In 2017, they introduced a new party concept called The Box, and from 2018 onwards, they began focusing more intensively on their label and music production.

Between 2019 and 2021, they relocated to Berlin, releasing music regularly on Kryptofabbrikk 
From 2021 to 2025, they moved to Tenerife, opened a new Label called  @HOTKFABBRIKK, and hosted their latest event series, The Lab, in both Milan and Tenerife.

Their unmistakable sound blends groove-heavy, vocal-driven jackin’ house with the hypnotic deep-tech vibes of their roots, creating a fresh, magnetic energy they call The Magic Vibe. Their musical range spans Chillhouse, Deephouse, House, Deeptech, and Techno.
