Vaguely exotic sounding, yet still comfortably tonal, this piece certainly falls between some cracks. Gamelan is listed as an instrument... but that's sort of like listing an orchestra as an instrument... which I sometimes do. The other thing in here is that helicon. Imagine you take a french horn (which is like 5 meters of tubes) and make it even bigger! I guess it is also the name of a mountain in Greece? I did not use the mountain in this piece.

Reverbs, reverbs, reverbs! You want reverbs in you music, you got reverbs right here! Room reverbs, plate reverbs, even some spring reverbs! It is amazing! It is incredible! How can there be so much reverb?! So... why... You get a very hollow spooky thin feeling with the reverbs. This started out as an attempt to understand Witch House music. Pretty sure I still don't understand it.

Spellbound

This has a little bit of early music flair to it with a nice vocal performance (if you don't like the vocals, you can get a version without in the super download). I've listened to this piece non-stop for like an hour. Still beautiful! The least you could do is listen to this once! It is only a few minutes. Go ahead!

Originally written as an establishing shot for a psychological thriller. This has a very earthy/folky feel about it. Little slow, little edgy... I don't know. Take a listen. I mean, I'll keep trying to describe this but, I'm not doing too well here. There's this flute thing... oh. Yeah, it says that already... uhh... Slightly creepy movie score? Yet oddly comforting? Sure. Let's go with that.

This one is just cool. If you just tried to dance to this and fell over, that's because every measure is missing one beat. Still it grooves quite well, assuming you can groove in 7/4 time.

Kings Of Tara

A little smooth, a little edgy, this has some wicked percussion in it. I forget how many drums there are in this - but it is quite a lot. Doesn't overpower, though. This one could also be considered 140 beats per minute, depending on how you count. It is right in that grey area. And no, I don't know what the words mean... I'm not even certain of the language, or if it is a language. The uncompressed download comes with an extra No Vocals Mix.

Baba Yaga

Slowly building tension power that really gets going when the super gnarly drums kick in after the violas... sort of in the section with the trumpet.... then there's this part that's all like "AHHHH AHHHHHH AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!" And then there's some more "AHHHHHHHHH" and then even more and its like a new key or something, and the drums are all distorted and slammin', and then there's this wwwwwwhhhhHHHHHOOOOOOOSHHHH!!!! and some more french horn majesty - and like another keychange or something... but definitely some bass drum. The big bass drum that you stand up and hit with a mallet... not the kind you stick on the floor... and stomp on a pedal that is attached to a mallet that hits the floor drum.

Final Battle Of The Dark Wizards

You want battle music? You can't HANDLE the battle music! Meh. You probably can. As battle music goes, this is pretty tame - no blaring trumpets or hyperactive xylophones... Why? Dialog! You can actually talk over this battle music! Feel free to punctuate with your own stabs after you cut around your dialog. Or don't. You can use this as a loop on your Twitch stream for anything... battle-y. That rough spiccato bass line is off the hook! (Do people still say "off the hook"? I might be a few years late on that.) 

Clash Defiant

Formerly titled "Tyranid Battle Loop", this piece was written for down and dirty... and very very long battle scenes for space bug critters. But you can use it for anything you like! Got a video where you stuck a cucumber on a drone to terrorize your cat? Boom! Corruption. Or those really gross films of people removing cysts? ug. don't use this for that. Actually, why are you posting that? Don't do it. Just... ug. can't unsee...

Corruption

Could be the thinking music for a quiz show about the paranormal? "Where does the Sasquatch typically vacation... is it A, The High Mountains... B, Unexplored Cave Systems...  C, Graceland... or D, In another dimension - similar to, but not strongly coupled with our own reality. Take your time and answer whenever you're ready.... A, B, C, or D... Would you like to consult the Tarot or do an entrail reading?" I love the flute bits in this piece.

Myst On The Moor

Very moody little piece with some melodic interest. Tension could be high grade or low grade depending on your context. Waiting for a drug deal to go through in Belize? This'll work. Concerned about the health of your hyacinth macaw while waiting at the vet office? This'll work. Waiting for the OSHA all-clear at your box factory? This'll work. It is mainly about waiting for things. Probably not good things.

Crypto

Five! Five full minutes of battle fighting action bits with a bit of an Egyptian flair! For some reason I associate English horn with desert nomads. There must have been some cultural reference in my youth to that effect. Super crazy awesome brass is super crazy awesome... wait for it... you'll be glad you did!

Curse Of The Scarab - Full With Tail

Starts small, gets big... then smaller, then REALLY big... then small again. Kind of like a turtle. Actually, it is entirely possible that I just kept seeing different turtles. I mean, they all sort of look like turtles; I wasn't tagging them or marking them with chalk or anything. Chalk will probably just wash off in the pond anyway. Oh! Kind of like a puffer fish! Like a musical puffer fish! Perfect.

Ryno's Theme

Wikipedia describes the Thunderbird as "a supernatural bird of power and strength". It will also ask you to disambiguate it from the automobile made by Ford from 1955 to 2005. I'm sure it was a nice car. I've never owned one. But there were a lot of them! The late 70's Thunderbirds are particularly horrifying... They had those headlight covers that flipped up... because that was a good idea at some point. But this piece! Oh! This piece! Atmosphere like you wouldn't believe! The flute is just so earthy! The organic drones are also beautiful. The whole thing is beautiful. Kind of like you went to an alien day spa in another dimension where days last for years, but you still never get all wrinkly when you're in the bubbly warm waters. mmmm... bubbly warm waters... with the slight possibility of a serial killer.

Thunderbird

It is the future? It certainly sounds like it... What would I use this for? Probably a video game with non-action gameplay. Certainly a montage of some futuristic film... or maybe one of those sandwiched scenes where a person is walking in the rain, but you don't get any of the sounds of the actual rain... just this piece. No dialog, no voiceover, just walking. Do they have a name for those scenes? They must.

Floating Cities

This piece starts BIG. Originally, this piece started slowly and built... and then I got bored and chopped out all the slowness. There are still dynamics, but if you need bigness from the get-go - here's what you get! Vroom! BIG BIG BIG!
