Don't Starve Theme

Originally written as an establishing shot for a psychological thriller. This has a very earthy/folky feel about it. Little slow, little edgy... I don't know. Take a listen. I mean, I'll keep trying to describe this but, I'm not doing too well here. There's this flute thing... oh. Yeah, it says that already... uhh... Slightly creepy movie score? Yet oddly comforting? Sure. Let's go with that.

Crowd Hammer

Slowly building tension power that really gets going when the super gnarly drums kick in after the violas... sort of in the section with the trumpet.... then there's this part that's all like "AHHHH AHHHHHH AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!" And then there's some more "AHHHHHHHHH" and then even more and its like a new key or something, and the drums are all distorted and slammin', and then there's this wwwwwwhhhhHHHHHOOOOOOOSHHHH!!!! and some more french horn majesty - and like another keychange or something... but definitely some bass drum. The big bass drum that you stand up and hit with a mallet... not the kind you stick on the floor... and stomp on a pedal that is attached to a mallet that hits the floor drum.

Could be the thinking music for a quiz show about the paranormal? "Where does the Sasquatch typically vacation... is it A, The High Mountains... B, Unexplored Cave Systems...  C, Graceland... or D, In another dimension - similar to, but not strongly coupled with our own reality. Take your time and answer whenever you're ready.... A, B, C, or D... Would you like to consult the Tarot or do an entrail reading?" I love the flute bits in this piece.

Myst On The Moor

Starts small, gets big... then smaller, then REALLY big... then small again. Kind of like a turtle. Actually, it is entirely possible that I just kept seeing different turtles. I mean, they all sort of look like turtles; I wasn't tagging them or marking them with chalk or anything. Chalk will probably just wash off in the pond anyway. Oh! Kind of like a puffer fish! Like a musical puffer fish! Perfect.

This piece started its life as a random challenge on a show I do on Twitch.tv called "The Wheels of Doom!". The 4 randomized elements that came together here were: Drum Machine, Strings, Xylophone, and Comedic. I think it worked out pretty well!
