Joe Semma started his DJ'ing career halfway between the birthplace of House (Chicago) and Techno (Detroit) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Joe Semma has been starving for a unique style since his beginning. He started the Journey at the young age of 18 to which he has made great advances along the way. "I started playing after noticing a lack of DJs in Kalamazoo and saw market potential for a new unique DJ style."

He was then asked to play at the infamous Intersection, Moxie and Churchill’s by Shannon William, founder of Bangin Promotions. "I became good friends with Shannon and he is continually teaching me how to get to the next level of my career." Joe has played events with Bad Boy Bill & Darude. His style at that time was a mixture of progressive trance, mash-ups, and house.

"I play for my audience and can nearly any style of music." Joe Semma's talent was seen in Kalamazoo and the end of 2008, he was resident DJ at Charlie Fosters, Wayside & Y-Bar. At the same time, Joe was also DJ'ing charity events, house parties, and Fraternity/Sorority events. "I love Dj'ing charity events because it is something I can give back to the community." Joe has also played events sponsored by Puma, Patron, Rockstar Energy Drink, Monster Energy Drink, & Redbull.
