We want to introduce our next podcast artist in her own words:
„ Music is not just sound. It’s a feeling, an emotion, a release into the universe! It makes you happy or sad, and it makes you cry for both reasons.“
SHELLEY, self-taught DJ from Bielefeld, Germany, has been making a name for herself since 2019 when she decided that the years spent within the club culture could be translated into something fun.
Her cultivating frequencies and understanding are reflected, with a vibe strongly rooted in nature dressed in deep techno. Her sessions blend hypnotic & percussive sounds with dubby & organic atmospheres.
Through this combination, she achieves to impact mind & soul in an unique way, channeling her love for the deeper electronics and turning it into beautiful sonic sceneries.
SHELLEY left her mark on such platforms as Diffuse Reality, Indefinite Pitch, Deepinic, to name a few.
She is also mixing her own mix series called SECRET PLACE available on her SoundCloud.

With the 42th episode we finalise the seventh series of SALON. To close this series in style we’ve invited the South-Korean artist Cobahn who recently relocated to the Netherlands. With her deep and ritualistic sound Cobahn manages to guide her listeners in a meditative state of mind. With this ability it’s no surprise that she has been strongly associated with Vurt where she shared the line ups with many other amazing artists.

We asked Cobahn what she wants to translate with this mix, about she had the following to say:

“When I'm working on music, I like to set a certain atmosphere or story for each project. In this mix, I tried to capture a mental journey that explores the subconscious that is happening deep inside my mind. With sounds that inspired me recently I aimed for a soundscape of chaos, distortion, transformation, and various abstract emotions intertwined in darkness and light.”

Abby Echiverri (@echiverri) is a multi-talented producer, musician, DJ, VJ and sound engineer based in Brooklyn, NY. 
Since discovering her music via "Ab Initio" (her 2018 EP on @thebunkerny), our collective have been followers and fans of Abby and the refined yet vibrantly contrasting qualities of her sound. 

Always looking ahead, Abby's explorative approach has a knack of finding intelligent interplays between elements; groove and psychedelic abstraction, lushness and angularity. But most compelling is the naturally hopeful quality that underpins much of her work, providing a sense of freedom and playfulness. 

Needless to say, we're very excited to welcome Abby onto the Patterns of Perception imprint for our third release - her "Deformation" EP. 

And so, Abby Echiverri's Patterns of Perception 113 is a celebration. For this, she has prepared a special hybrid live/DJ set which both channels and expands on the energy and spirit from her release. Bold, diverse rhythms thrum within a kaleidoscopic haze. Sleek energy escalates, approaching catharsis. A cosmic radiance shifts, glancing ever upward.

Her musical journey began in 2013 as an integral part of Tokyo's vibrant underground scene. Lynne quickly made a name for herself by winning the Samurai Music Mix competition and securing regular gigs at renowned venues in Tokyo. She is also a valued member of the resident artist collective at Unknown Species (@unknownspecies), a channel that showcases cutting-edge electronic music."
