Darkyoyo—emerging from the pulsating heart of Taiwan’s psychedelic scene—first encountered the hypnotic pulse of Psychedelic Trance back in 1999. That moment sparked an irreversible journey into the depths of sonic consciousness. What began as mere curiosity quickly spiraled into a full-blown obsession, as the raw energy, cosmic textures, and mind-bending frequencies of psytrance gripped his soul.

By 2012, Darkyoyo took the leap from passionate listener to full-fledged psytrance warrior, stepping behind the decks to channel the sounds that once altered his own reality. Since then, he has evolved into a sonic alchemist, blending the electrifying drive of Full-On Psy, the deep grooves of Progressive Psy, and the shadowy, intense vibes of Dark Psy.

His sets are not just music—they're rituals, transporting listeners through fractal dreamscapes, twisted dimensions, and ancient rhythms echoing from the heart of the psychedelic realm.

Whether under the moonlight of forest gatherings or the UV glow of indoor rituals, Darkyoyo crafts immersive journeys designed to unlock the mind and elevate the spirit. His mission? To fuse ancient tribal essence with futuristic sound design—and leave no brain cell unshaken.

辦音樂祭的目的不是要講故事，而是要介紹一個新的觀念，
並沒有要特別證明什麼，純粹只想找回對生命的熱情表現。
 
音樂祭應該是一趟旅程，是一種內心對於某種欲望的飢渴，蠢蠢欲動的從集結三五好友開始，張羅交通工具，打包行李，穿上自己最愛的裝扮，跋山涉水一路顛簸地來到山腳下，走上山坡，越過神秘莫測的森林，呼吸著另人著迷的原始純真味道，音樂隨風流入耳穴，滿出來的興奮在抵達目的地時震撼著身上每個細胞，一股強烈的感動吶喊著：這就是我們的新樂園！
 
我們要訴說的，不是現代社會所帶來的便利性，也不是商業型態派對。
在參與音樂祭的旅程裡，每個人都是主角，而主辦人則是配角。
在這一段旅程，人跳脫了被現代社會束縛的心靈，真心誠意的享受心中的樂園。
 
在旅程之後，滿腦子皆是旅程中的所見所聞，新的觀念慢慢萌芽，滿心歡喜，去除原有的預設立場，並迫不及待地迎接下一場的挑戰。
 
Slowly, organically we grow, friends tell friends, each time we get to meet a few more like minded people and the parties keep their friendly vibes. 

We could throw Outdoor Parties and spend lots of time and money on promotion and a little less on the PA and we'd get lots of people but with a totally different vibe. 

We feel slow and friendly is better!

UP are made up of revolutionary forces that have been committed to underground culture for over ten years. Combining music and art, UP organized Taiwan’s first electronic outdoor parties that embraced dancing on grass amongst it’s beautiful nature, putting on the legendary “Space Dance” psychedelic trance parties at Kun Lun Gardens in 2001, the first ever parties to be held there. 

After the government indiscriminately clamped down on all electronic music parties, both indoors and outdoors, UP started putting on the indoor “All Funked Up” parties combining some of the best up and coming bands and DJs to make for really memorable nights.

All along UP have upheld its mission of promoting a non-commercial party culture, where the music and vibe come first while considering ‘breaking even’ as a bonus! Although UP have experienced a few bumps along the road, our party goers smiles continue to motivate us to pick our selves up and do it again.

UP has continued to refuse many offers to jump into the commercial pool or take the easy way and join in Taiwan’s slow transformation into a “Top100 international DJs’s battlefield”. UP continues to push the boundaries of the collective efforts of a diverse group of collaborating artists and continues to fight for Taiwan's local underground culture. UP insists on providing the best PA sound equipment and creating the best party atmosphere and will continue to adhere to the principles of PLUR, and the philosophy of parties without borders.
