Fly By Night kick off 2022’s proceedings with Departure, the second V/A from the label, as FBN010. Departure reflects the full spectrum of the ever-changing UK music sphere, exploring the depths of leftfield dance music, whilst remaining distinctly club-focussed. 

FBN010 sees the return of some familiar faces to the label, alongside some exciting fresh faces. Broadly spanning system-rattling, breaks-infused, vocal-stuttering tracks, Departure sets the tone for the year ahead.

All profits raised from FBN010 will go towards UK-based charity Sister Supporter. Sister Supporter is a pro-choice, anti-harassment organisation, who are working towards achieving a national solution to allow those who wish to exercise their legal right to healthcare to do so without interference and judgement. 

Fly By Night’s Departure V/A is the first release of 2022 and will be out on all digital platforms on Friday 4th March.

As a true night bird, Last Chance has forged its musical identity torn between its punk rock influences and its dancefloor love. After officiating in the trio Depht Mod, the boy was keen to release this first solo project. A long-term work that is the result of long sleepless nights spent on his synths! Last Chance is taking us into a dystopia at the frontiers of reality. An industrial world in which melancholic souls wander in search of technicolor thrills!

After 11 long years Pohjola reignites it's furnace to bring a new release by a (let's pretend he's) young Serbian producer Lag. Finding a common language in pursuing the unsaid parts of techno, labelboss Rivet aka Grovskopa and Lag turned their long, meme-and-trolling-fueled friendship into a gorgeous-looking record (art by Trudy Creen, additional design work by Dejan Ilić). The music it bears is as offset as it is functional: offering a palette of both straight and broken beats driven by vocal snippets, genre-defying arrangements and, most importantly, scream-inducing club moments. Trust us, we tried them in the wild.

Lag - Origins EP (Pohjola 007)

After numerous heavy releases last year, the deutsch couple @not-even-noticed lands in MASA displaying their most raver facet.

A work conceived for the club with two contrasting sides yet a common flow of sinuosity and elation, wherein acid lines - in a nod to the 90's scene - lead to winsome, blooming landscapes full of nostalgia.

brainwave research center returns with their 3rd Electronic music LP. Their DIY approach to
creating music has forged a unique sound that is not experimental music, but music born out of experimentations with analog synthesizers.

Feel Free is the third installment of their first four part series and captures the feelings and
emotions of a summer season. The A-side begins with a soundtrack to a daydream; imagining
the life of a earthworm. Followed by a teeth-grinding drive through the grime of Brooklyn streets in Interceptor iii. Side A finishes out with that summer euphoria that comes from laying in the grass under the sun through dusk and watching the moon rise.

The B-side begins in a startling manner; an attempt to capture the feeling of falling in your
dreams. The music continues down a darker path that reminds us of their second LP, Mosaic,
with electronic experiments mixed with acoustic elements. The side concludes with two songs
that capture the nostalgic feelings of summer.

Feel Free offers you a glimpse into the musings of everyday life for brainwave research center.

Recommended if you like analog/digital synthesizers, sequencers, hand-played melodies,
simplistic clock-like rhythms.

The EP opens with the eponymous track "Winter Storm", a flurry of sound that perfectly captures the essence of the project launched in 2019: a deep, soaring sound accompanied by touches of tribal and acid.
