But not me, no, I see through their lies
And besides, I hate my job.

Do something you're really great at
Or at least something you really like
But what if everything's just bland?
Nothing exceptional or grand
Then how do you do it right?

It seems like I'm stuck in an in between
Just waiting for life to catch up to me
How do I strive to be something, or is it naive
To think that life should be more than it seems to be
Is this it? Can someone tell me?

All my friends, well they seem to be fine
With clicking buttons all day for some startup online
They say "who cares if my job's not great"
I've got so much to celebrate.
Like this or jacket these sick new kicks.
Yeah, all of my friends are pricks.

Everyone's got something better

I've gotta get out of this rut
