Based in Hamburg, Doctor Dru hits up a remix of Sailor & I x Eekkoo, receiving strong support from Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Adriatique, Solomun, Jon Monkmon, Nick Warren, and many more.

Alongside his multi-layered history DJing, Doctor Dru works as a drummer, runs his own label, collaborates with other acts such as Adana Twins, and of course, produces his own emotive, wistful signature tracks – such as his release off Exploited’s ‘Black Jukebox 03’ compilation. He’s hit up other remixes on OFF, JEUDI Records and Stil vor Talent, and followed those up with his “Proper Lane” EP and a timeless remix of Claptone’s huge hit “No Eyes”.

In terms of performances, he has appeared at Brazil’s Warung, Destino and Ushuaia (Ibiza), Watergate (Berlin), Revolver Club (Melbourne), Loveland Festival (Amsterdam) and a many more. While being busy with touring and tune tinkering, Dru also cultivated his own label JEUDI Records, which was founded with his mates Davidé and Takeiteasy. Based on a tightly-knit family ethos Jeudi Records gives Doctor Dru a platform where he is able to truly express his love of music and to A&R new talent from around the globe.

The 'Letters' remix package drops on Big Beat August 5th and will also tap Kidnap Kid, NTFO and Jeremy Olander for additional remixes.

We composed this track to highlight the cry of distress from the jungle.
It was important for us to set this ecological emergency to music.
That’s why beyond the catchy and dancing side, solemnity and sadness emanate
from this track. Our animal totem is the Monkey and you will hear some of his cries. Human being are so close to him, we imagine the monkey as the jungle
spokesperson, trying to alert us when his home is dying…
We hope you will perceive these emotions, let’s all act together to save the animals, to save earth…

Cosmovision presents '' Animals of the Earth ''

The human race has lived and shared this space we call Earth with the animal kingdom for millions of years but today, most cultures have abandoned the idea that humans are animals like the others. Our modern societies have been treating Mother Earth as if it was their property, extracting resources, polluting constantly, changing the landscape, killing the other animals we and destroying its natural balance.

Since the Industrial Revolution, humanity has killed 83% of all wild mammals and half of all plants of the Earth. Two hundred species of living beings are going extinct every single day. We collectively need to change so many things in areas such as the use of plastic, meat consumption, contaminating energies, day to day overconsumption and more. How can artists raise awareness regarding this?

Thinking on how to be simple but at the same time Universal, Cosmovision Records presents ¨Animals of the Earth¨. For this project we have gathered to co-create an ecosystem that lives in a music album. Producers from many places on Earth explored their connections with our animal cousins, remembering that the condor, the rabbit, the deer, the frog and all the others are our partners in the long trip that this green and lively planet takes in the Universe.

We invite you to come with us on this journey through the musical ecosystem of the ¨Animals of the Earth¨ to discover, respect and care for these beautiful beings that live with us.

Mirror for the Sun is a 14-track cycle of tempos, moods, and hums exploring different facets of a softly solar energy. The compilation departs from the Souq’s signature sound, infusing it with a rotation of new elements. Niki Sadeki’s curation brings more of an uncanny Berlin-style voltage to the label’s earthy tradition, shaped by her own learned perception of deep house. The result is a cosmic and crunchy experimental blend, with mingling moments of downbeat drama and upbeat glow. With a Master degree in Consumer Psychology and a burning passion for music, Deep Filip’s musical journey blasten off exponentially in 2017. Playing at several avenues, festivals and gigs, Filip’s adventures are just getting started. The DJ and producer is based in Rotterdam — Netherlands, and a whole range of musical genres invade his musical choices — hard to define by one genre, but with influences from Africa, South America, Middle East, Easter Europe and Asia, his style can be defined as melodic, sophisticated and groovy, with a rootsy and spiritual take on electronica. Besides DJing and producing, Filip is also the head of Music & Sound at Soulvana, part of Mindvalley.   

After a three weeks gap, we return with this 186th edition, two hours positively crafted by Filip's mindset — “always different, always the same". Despite being never one-note, the selection goes through hyper-dense packages, moods and textures change subtly and effectibely yet. In this way, those 123 minutes summarize his motto:  “I like to play what I consider to be good music. If it evokes some (positive) feeling within me, if I can dance on it, if it makes my head spin or touches my heart, I will play it and pass on this emotion to you. We are all responsible for creating an amazing experience together".
