Bio:

An Alex Volta führt in München aktuell kein Weg vorbei. Innerhalb weniger Jahre hat er in der Szene in seiner Heimatstadt bereits bemerkenswerte Wellen geschlagen und ihr seinen ganz eigenen Stempel aufgedrückt. In seinen Sets vermischen sich Afro House, Indie Dance und Melodic Techno zu einem unverwechselbaren Sound, der auch schon international Aufmerksamkeit erregt hat.
Auch kulturell engagiert sich der Münchner kräftig - zum Beispiel als Mitbegründer des Sound Salon, einer DJ- und Producer-Community, die aufstrebenden Künstler*innen eine Plattform zum Lernen, zum Austausch und für erste Performances bietet.
Sein "Melodic Tribal Techno" hört man langsam aber sicher auf immer mehr Club- und Festival-Bühnen Deutschlands und darüber hinaus, und das ist erst der Anfang dieser vielversprechenden Geschichte. Unbedingt reinhören!

Gudj is a DJ and producer establishing his name with a sound that blends notable deep, rolling rhythms and sultry melodic textures. Max’s work emphasises space, patience, and sonic detail - the kind that rewards close listening both on and off the dancefloor.

In 2023, Gudj connected with Alin Crihan, who subsequently released Max’s debut EP through his label Mezin , a project that showcased his evolving artistry with each track capturing his signature immersive moments and precision.

Since then, Max has built a rich catalog of work which has been globally supported. Much of his most anticipated music is yet to come.

Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Gudj’s focus remains the same - crafting experiences built on flow, subtlety, and emotional depth. As his profile continues to grow, he confidently stands among a new generation of UK artists.

Viktor is an impressive documentary that relies on sound to tell it’s story.  The film’s protagonist is a deaf photographer living in Ukraine, documenting the Russian invasion of of his country after he finds out he is not allowed to sign up as a soldier.  Using innovative sound design to immerse the audience in Viktor’s POV (or more accurately POH, point of hearing), the film focuses on his frustration at being unable to fight in the traditional sense and his passion for photography, as a way to serve his country. This spoiler free conversation with Sound Designer Peter Albrechtsen, Sound Designer/Foley Artist Heikki Kossi and Re-recording Mixer Tim Nielsen, discusses how they manipulated the sound in the film to approximate how Viktor hears and just as importantly, when to employ these techniques.  The sound design for Viktor evolved drastically from the start of postproduction to the final mix. They began with hard rules for when and how to twist the audio. Yet for the final version, all those rules were thrown out the door.  It is an interesting case study following the journey a soundtrack to find a film's “voice”.  The sound team interview is followed up with a one on one talk with Viktor's director Olivier Sarbil.  Olivier is an impressive man with a very unique relationship to the audio postproduction phase of film making.
