Helping to establish the infamouse Lost In Nature festival. Meanwhile his musical focuse transformed and is now meandering between psychedelic influenced Downtempo, santeria-sattelschlepperstep, galloping dancefloor soundscapes and dark progressiv sonic adventures. Rooted in underground culture, his sound blends raw energy with fine detail and atmospheric depth – a mix of instinct and precision that lingers long after the last beat.

After a small summer break we are back with a new deep story. This time its a special emotional mix with an urgent message. We are more than happy to have wilson.solidarity on our podcast series.

wilson.solidarity is a German DJ with Bengali roots – a cultural and personal background that deeply shapes his sound. His sets move within the realm of slower, driving techno, often infused with hip-hop influences. His music is never just functional – it tells stories. Stories of identity, resistance and belonging. As an member of the collectives Rebellion der Träumer (@rebelliondertraumer) and Tanz mit den Sternen(@nrzp), he shares his vision of a better world through his music. Music against racism!

His set closes with a poem that pays tribute to the victims of the racist attack in Hanau and serves as a reminder that racism is not a distant problem, but a lived reality for many. By embedding this message into the podcast, he creates space for both joy and awareness. Thank you wilson for your music and for reminding us that techno is for everyone!

Last year I got to go to the Sonic Days Conference in Denmark, to do a bunch of interviews with the various people doing presentations about their sound work.  With the schedule and presenters for the 2025 edition of the conference now announced, these interviews can give you an idea of what to expect.  First up is Shelley Roden, foley artist from Skywalker Sound.   Next, game Sound Designer, Katrine Amsler talks about her desire for everyone to find bespoke workflows that meet their own needs.  The organizer of the conference, Lars Tirsbæk then gives us a quick history of Sonic Days and Sonic College where the conference resides.  Leslie Gaston-Bird talks about the need for skill diversification to make a career in audio and all the different roles she is performing.  Finally  Sound Designer Peter Storm Wich and picture editor Anne Østerud discuss their collaboration on director Thomas Vinterberg's "Families Like Ours".
