A Philadelphia native, Brandon Evans was immersed into the immense World of music at a 
young age. From discovering Michael Jackson and Miles Davis at 5, to applying his interest in 
learning the trumpet and piano at 10 and 15 respectively, his interest evolved into a full-blown 
love of music. Taking his talent, and creativity to a higher stage, he began composing music 
for various genre’s, from pop to R&B, and especially Hip-Hop. Graduating from Kutztown 
University in 2007, he continued to hone his talent and skills, driving himself to move towards 
his ideal sound. 

In 2011, he met with artist Warchyld, and together, they created songs that would make an 
appearance in both MTV (Caged) and Oxygen (The Paris Hilton Show), as well as peak DJ 
Kay Slay’s attention, which paved the way to a pivotal mix-tape. In 2013, he performed in the 
iStandard Showcase, where he stunned judges, who themselves are well established and in one 
instance, Grammy nominated. The momentum thrust him forward, and soon after, he was invited 
to the Philly Sound Sessions event, where some of the best the city have to offer are showcased.

The Joint Cheefs. The 420 group you didn’t know you were missing. This New York trio are born and bread from the Bronx and bring together traditional hard-core rhymes with the smooth melodic sounds found in you favorite smoker anthems. Bringing an east coast perspective in a genre populated primarily by southern and west coast acts, The Joint Cheefs approach their music from a lyrical perspective while painting pictures that are relatable to their audience.

Since forming in late 2017, The Joint Cheefs have released plenty of content. They started with a mixtape called PAY HIGHMAGE (DECEMBER 3, 2017), a collection of freestyles honoring the stoner rap legends that came before them. They followed up with their first album NEVER CANOE (APRIL 20, 2018), another mixtape PAY HIGHMAGE DOS (JULY 10, 2018), and second album, J.A.R.S. (NOVEMBER 30, 2018)

In 2019, they expanded their content with a series called D.I.hYgh on Youtube and The Weed Tube. A show where The Joint Cheefs watch D.I.Y. videos and try to attempted them with under the influence. With more music and more content on the way, theres no telling how high this unique group will go.
