Japan’s Risa Taniguchi continues her streak of releases on CLR with the ‘Wakes From Coma’ EP. The tastemaker returns a month after her last outing on Chris Liebing’s label, 'So Loud'.

Risa Taniguchi’s 'Wakes from Coma' two-tracker on Chris Liebing’s CLR is a powerful piece of frenzied techno, with looming synth stabs and incendiary hi-hats piling on the pressure while its rolling beat powers on. The hard-hitting 'Mental Rut' ups the stakes next with distorted walls of noise, hammering kicks, and swirling synth textures that obscure the chopped-up vocal stabs. It's the sound of pure and brilliant dancefloor madness.

The Tokyo-based Risa Taniguchi last appeared on CLR in Spring with the ‘So Loud’ EP, which won support from artists like Dave Clarke, Kelly Lee Owens, and Luke Slater, following her first arrival on Liebing’s label in 2022 alongside Black Asteroid, the ‘Acid Flesh’ EP. At the forefront of the Japanese techno scene, Taniguchi’s music on labels like Second State and Kneaded Pains mixes dark, lo-fi sound, distorted textures, and slow-burning energy that always hits its mark.

Packed with three hypnotic tracks - ‘Remote Control,’ ‘Kaoss Physics,’ and ‘Wrong Or Right’ - this EP delivers a high-octane dose of cutting-edge techno built to dominate global dancefloors.

Simina and Hollen’s collaboration is a seamless blend of pulsating rhythms, intricate textures, and deep, driving energy. From peak-time bangers to hypnotic grooves, the ‘Remote Control’ EP is a statement of intent for the year ahead. 

The title track kicks off with commanding beats, hypnotic synths, and sharp industrial hits. Digital, robotic vocals cut through the mix, adding an edgy touch as the track’s relentless drive pulls listeners deep into its magnetic orbit. Following on, ‘Kaoss Physics’ takes a deeper dive, layering glitchy textures, intricate synth complexities and rolling momentum to create a darker, moodier vibe. PREMIERE: Lowchord - Payny [RNDM CLUB]

Dutchman Tapia has made his mark on the underground with a fresh take on techno. It blends a respect for the past with
a creative vision for the future on cult labels like Planet Rhythm and Drumcode, as well as his own Say What?
Recordings. He has a seductive style that is shadowy and stripped-back but never short on musical character and
packed with great sound design. Says Tapia of this latest release on Lady Tazz’s Mind Medizin, “I had a lot of fun
creating these tracks for Mind Medizin that have both rolling elements as well as typical techno vibes, and It’s for sure a

pleasure when you get into a production flow and create a release in a short period of time.”

The title cut gets things underway with the sort of booming kicks that will rattle any club to its foundations. The hi-hats
are supersized and raw, and the pulsing bass serves as an unrelenting reminder to keep moving, with some fractured
vocal fragments adding extra texture. 'Patriot' keeps the pressure on with big, muscular, punching drum funk and
tunnelling synth loops that melt the mind. There is an unsettling and paranoid feeling to 'Oracle' with anxious synth
motifs keeping you on edge as the hammering drums march on, then closer 'Space Mountain' offers a different vibe.
This one fizzes with static and has sustained chords, bringing a trance-inducing flavour to the cantering drums.

Jorden Hodgetts (aka Cleric) is back on Clergy with a powerful solo EP. Opening with the high tempo track “Angel of Death”, a creative paradigm of vocals layered over rolling chords, and piercing atmospheres.
Leading into “Luddite”, a track that brings another type of energy. Suited to desolate warehouse spaces, Jorden starts to paint a picture to the 19th Clergy release.
“Acid Reflux” takes control of the B1. Distorted 303 acid, and focused drums are paired with a subtle mystical vocal.
The final track of the EP “Pretty Poison” draws your attention towards the twisted synth stabs, while keeping momentum through the driven drums that Cleric has been know for over the years.

Immersed in music since his childhood, Babaganouschka is a DJ from Montreal whose musical journey began with the guitar, exploring rock, metal, jazz, and blues. For nearly three years now, he has dived into electronic music, specializing in mental and hypnotic techno. By night, he dedicates himself entirely to his craft as a DJ, steadily making a name for himself in Montreal’s techno scene. He is a member of the Droplets collective and a resident DJ on La Face B radio, where he provides a monthly mix. Passionate about subgenres like acid techno, hard techno, hard groove, and occasionally trance and breakbeat, he crafts unique sets that blend melody and polyrhythm.
