Le premier envoi, intitulé « Press Start » et accompagné d’une vidéo croisant l’influence de « Peau d’Ane » et de « Phantom of the Paradise », déploie des synthétiseurs gorgés d’harmoniques et pastiche avec humour les années 80 de Visage et Imagination. 

Introduit par d’étranges arpèges de voix humaine, « The Love Disease » conjugue polyrythmes frénétiques et ampleur orchestrale comme autrefois Propaganda et Frankie Goes To Hollywood, annonciateurs de la techno-trance des années 90. Funky-rock (« The Perfect Recipe ») ou électro (« Shoot Shoot » et « One By One » comme un lointain hommage à Cerrone) les riffs et gimmicks sont efficaces. Parmi les collaborateurs venus apporter leur touche originale à cet album, il faut citer le compositeur de jazz Frank Hergott et le groupe Archigram (Crydamoure) qui co-signent respectivement avec Melanie, « Raincheck », et « L’Exactitude » dont les synthétiseurs semblent décoller comme des fusées. Les fans de techno ne sont pas oubliés avec « I May Be A Lion » et ceux de la house garage new-yorkaise seront séduits par « Private Intercom », dont  les harmonies jazzy, la voix blanche et les chœurs vaporeux, évoquent un after rempli de ...
