Deep Notion, the dynamic duo of Adam Cooper and Christian Samonte-Martin, have cemented their status as one of New Zealand’s most electrifying DJ and production acts. Deep Notion’s sound brings high energy and rich variety, taking listeners on a journey through a wide range of styles that seamlessly reflect the depth of their production. 

Their rise to prominence has been fueled by releases on labels such as Elevate Records, Invicta Audio, DARKMTTR, Viper Recordings, NUFORM, Device, and RAM Records, with their collaboration with T-Lex, "On Top", climbing to #1 on the Beatport Drum & Bass Charts and two tracks soaring to #1 on the Hypeddit charts. Along the way, they’ve gained support from major industry players, including UKF, DNB Allstars, Ministry of Sound, and Bassrush, while also earning recognition from some of bass music’s most influential names. 

Known for their commanding stage presence, Deep Notion have headlined tours across New Zealand and Australia, playing at some of the country's largest festivals, and are now setting their sights on the UK and Europe — already securing bookings at Let It Roll. Their success extends beyond the stage, with appearances on major radio platforms, including BBC Radio 1, KissFM, KoolFM, and GeorgeFM. In 2025, two of their tracks "Just Wanna Love" and “On Top” were chosen as BBC’s 'Drop of the Week', underscoring their growing international appeal.

Hi, Ric de Large here! I'm a Drum & Bass and electronic music DJ and producer.

I was born and raised in Northern Italy, growing up surrounded by a wide range of musical influences. Dubstep and electro were my first gateways into music production.

My sound is eclectic, a fusion of genres that reflects my curiosity and refusal to stay within boundaries. If I had to sum it up in one line, I’d use a quote from a Walt Whitman poem:
“I am large, I contain multitudes.”

I’m part of the "Grime Spitterz" project alongside MCs Omega Riot and Prodest, performing across Italy with a high-energy blend of DnB and UK rap culture.

In early 2024, I founded Much Much Bass, which quickly evolved into a creative collective of bass-music enthusiasts. We’ve been releasing music and organizing events to spread bass culture throughout Italy.

As a solo artist, I bring my own vision to life in DJ sets where 4x4, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Garage, Breakbeat, and even Psy collide. Whether I’m turning iconic tracks into club bangers or dropping my own productions, what I love most is making people dance, sharing the energy, and having much much fun!
