2010 was a breakthrough year for portuguese rockers The Kaviar. The band played the immensely popular Optimus Live! Festival (by way of winning the Optimus Live Act competition) and released their EP “Sevruga”.  Throughout Portugal, The Kaviar performed a series of electrifying live shows, increasing their ever growing fan base and ultimately playing to a crowd of over 20.000 people in their hometown, supporting a well know portuguese band – Xutos & Pontapés.
After meeting producer Pedro Carvalho, the band found themselves faced with a new challenge – recording their debut album. Comprised of 10 tracks, “Beluga” was recorded at Zero Estúdio, mastered at Abbey Road Studios and features artwork by Marta Mariano. The album is set for release on the 28th of March.
The reasoning behind the name “The Kaviar” is related to the ambitious nature of a concept created by the band members – one of provocative and sophisticated rock and roll aesthetics, dabbling in the duality of luxury and decadence and the excesses of rock and roll.

A banda Hollow Page iniciou o seu percurso quando um grupo de amigos se decidiu juntar e começar a tocar algumas músicas, ainda sem experiência musical e também sem vocalista. 
Passado algum tempo, a banda conseguiu juntar todos os elementos e desde aí tem vindo a crescer e a ganhar vida. 
Mais tarde, juntou-se à banda o seu manager, Ricardo Barra, que lhes tem dado apoio e projeção. 
Nós, como banda, devemos-lhe aquilo que somos agora, pois sem ele, não teríamos esta visibilidade. 
De agora em diante, vamos sonhando e deixando as coisas acontecer, esperando ansiosamente por uma carreira futura...

Initially founded in 2002 as an offshoot of the celebrated Knitting Factory club in lower Manhattan, Knitting Factory Records, along with the new Knitting Factory club in Brooklyn, was reborn in 2009 with the acquisition and re-release of the Fela Kuti catalog. KFR also encompasses the catalogs of Instinct Records, Shadow Records, Shimmy Disc, and Evolver Records.

In partnership with Partisan Records, a Brooklyn-based artist-run label, Knitting Factory Records strives to honor the music of an eclectic array of relevant artists drawn from both the past and the present.
