Venerated Frankfurt native Sascha Dive, a gifted producer whose name has become synonymous with first-class house music, is the next artist to drop on Cassy’s thriving label Kwench Records.
The Deep Vibes record label boss’ extraordinarily expressive discography is heavily influenced by the electronic vibrations which came from the US during the formative years of the mid-late ‘90s and the first waves of esteemed German house labels like Playhouse.
“Sascha is an extremely classy producer with a refined signature style. Not many people can achieve that. For me, records should have an element of timelessness and I want Kwench Records to reflect this preference. His productions have longevity which is proven by the fact they’ve had their place in my collection for what must be going on a decade.”
Sascha weighs in on the title track with a muscular drum loop which navigates a steady path through a delectably absorbing brew of synthetic sounds primed for clubbers. The ominously titled ‘Jack The Ripper’ packs a precarious punch and Sascha’s penchant for ‘90s Chicago stimuli becomes clear as the vocal sample utters the infamous line, “Jack your body.”
A surging, slick groove directs the laidback progression of ‘Gadgets & Buttons’, and again we hear how Sascha’s affections for vintage house tracks of the ‘90s educes his deftness in capturing and repurposing those sounds for modern times.

Living in Ibiza for a decade, she's played everywhere across the island - from DC10 for Paradise, to Pacha, Zoo Project and Hï Ibiza. Producing for close to two decades, she's a powerhouse in the studio with over 20 EP releases in the last 24 months. She's in the studio every morning religiously, producing in a very unique studio that she built herself within a little potting shed in her garden in the Ibiza campo.

6AM Guest Mix: Davina Moss

Cassy continues to build a solid catalogue of releases on her Kwench Records imprint, this time with a solo EP titled 'Next Generation' that features a bumping house anthem aptly dubbed 'Beat Your Feet'.

Cassy had this to see on the new material: “This EP embodies my appreciation for House music. I have come to realise that this music is so extremely important to me, and I want to pay homage to it. I’ll never forget the day I heard Crystal Waters 'Gypsy Woman' as a late teen on holiday - my life changed forever! To make the music that I am playing, focusing on the dance floor and what is important to me feeds my soul and feels right. House music is the essence of me and I’m so happy to present this collection of tracks via my own imprint.”

The 'Beat Your Feet' single is set for release April 24, while the full 'Next Generation' EP is out May 17.

Premiere: Cassy 'Beat Your Feet'

Slamming in for exposure via Cassy’s commanding imprint Kwench Records is venerated DJ, producer and label chief Alex Arnout with a vitalising two-track EP.

Inspired by the rich house tracks dispatched by Danny Tenaglia’s Tribal America label in the mid ‘90s, the EP aims for nostalgia-grabbing gold and takes hold with ‘Afrofuturism’. Loaded with low-end grooves and mesmeric, spaced-out vocal hooks, it’s guaranteed to put dancers in the zone. ‘Riffin’ cuts in like a temptress, with an equally absorbing vocal hook and slamming drum loops for a satisfying payoff.

Slamming in for exposure via Cassy’s commanding imprint Kwench Records is venerated DJ, producer and label chief Alex Arnout with a vitalising two-track EP.

Having been a respected fixture in London’s underground culture across the last two decades, Arnout is considered a champion of the British scene, with his committed Dogmatik Records releasing EPs from Mark E, Reset Robot, Dyed Soundorom, Dan Ghenacia and Tom Demac, and launching the careers of esteemed artists Maya Jane Coles, Peace Division, Dusky and many more. His career has also seen him create a stir in other corners of the globe, predominantly Spain with successful residencies in Barcelona and Ibiza.

Making moves on @kwenchrecords, Cassy’s club-steady record label, is New York-based DJ and producer Tommy Bones, and he brings in renowned US vocalist and regular collaborator Lydia Rhodes who’s known for a string of seminal club anthems through the ‘90s and early ‘00s.

His two-track dispatch kicks off with engrossing title track featuring Lydia Rhodes, and we cut straight to the heat, with Bones’ blistering bassline and Rhodes laying it on thick with feverish vocals. ‘Acid Rain’ steams in second, relentless and uplifting, with all horns blazing.

Berlin-based DJ and producer @sebo-k, known for distributing a distinctive stream of pristine cuts for over a decade, is next to step through for Cassy’s label @kwenchrecords. Sebo K reaches for a stack of disco samples inspired by house sounds of the mid ‘90s to craft his Kwench dispatch, and it boots off with "New Steps", a striking house cut, bolstered by a sample of American poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou from her poem Pulse Of Morning. The Dub version of the title track cuts a slick figure, while "L.U.V" sashays into the forefront, leading nodding heads to a sweet spot where disco prevails.
