"Baba Music Vol. II" kicks off with "Daily Grind" featuring JulyJuli, a hypnotic and playful track. This solid cut captivates listeners with its potent rhythms and entrancing elements. Sublease is back with three tracks from three relatively new talents, each with their own take on deep, groove-laden house music. 

TERANA kicks things off with Connection, a vibrant deep house track that reflects TERANA’s mission to spread love through music. Rooted in her identity as a producer and vocalist, the track features her own vocals intertwined with driving grooves, hypnotic harmonies and bouncy progressions. 

TERANA was a part of the mixmasters retreat with label boss Steve Bug, along with the Swiss beatmaker Marco Weber who takes up the third track on this release - Stubborn Trip. Created in Ibiza, this track brings a deep, groovy low end and bright, flickering synth stabs, before developing into an expansive and electrifying vibe. 

Wrapping it up is Doomar with a sparkling low slung roller with squelchy synths and an engaging vocal sample.

Australian producer Luke Alessi is back on DJ Tennis’ iconic Life and Death label with his latest record, the ‘After Five’ EP.

Picture a roaring 1920s debauched, excessive and riotous cocktail party with screaming brass moments meets 1970s funk and disco grooves that loop and tumble you into a hypnotic state while Barry White's voice guides you through the whole experience. ‘After Five’ was designed to make you feel sexy, groovy and a little bit wild. 

A sonic journey through moody elegance and late-night allure, the release is complemented by remixes from boundary-pushing producers Pablo Bozzi and Aldonna.

The title track, ‘After Five’, released in November 2024 to an avalanche of praise, proving Luke Alessi’s knack for crafting sophisticated beats that resonate across dancefloors. Named as  Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on his coveted BBC Radio 1 show as well as over ten placements on Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists, and heavyweight DJ support from tastemakers like DJ Tennis, Dixon, La Fleur, Laurent Garnier, Jimi Jules, and Demi Riquísimo, it’s clear his track has struck a universal chord.

Pablo Bozzi’s remix followed this up and came out on January 17th, putting his signature Italo flex on the title track turning it into a hedonistic and raucous party anthem. Known for her idiosyncratic sound that mirrors her deep sonic interest for the nineties and early noughties, Aldonna finds her sweet spot between House, Progressive and Trance with her remix of ‘Day Dreams of Beaches’ reflecting exactly this. Already part of the Life and Death family since ‘Bey Beh’ and ‘Dale Dale’, Luke Alessi’s music sits in its own lane, refusing to be pigeonholed into any conventional genre. The trio met at a festival in Corsica, introduced by Pachanga Boys. "Their faces, their expressions, and their attitude—gentle, smart, loving, and funny—impressed me at first sight," Tennis recalls. That initial meeting was many years ago, but their personal and musical bond has only grown stronger when they decided to merge their shared passion for psychedelic sounds and Mediterranean influences, leading to numerous recording sessions together.

In the past five years since her debut single ‘Herd Animals’, the Danish-Honduran singer and electronic artist has been quietly stirring in the waters of the Copenhagen underground, impressing critics and audiences alike with her “combustible blend of impassioned lyrics and club-geared beats” (DJ Mag).
 
Now, Pavon is ready to share the first taste of her debut album. The single ‘Love How You Dance’ delivers a sharp-edged house beat built around Pavon’s characteristically brazen vocals, brimming with equal parts pathos and attitude.
 
“The song is an ode to the dance floor and to those pure magnetic exchanges that happen when you meet someone on the dance floor who just reciprocates your energy,” says Pavon about the track.
 
‘Love How You Dance’ is produced by house maestro Musumeci in collaboration with OliO.
 
Pavon’s debut album, titled Born With Heartbreak, will come out May 23 on Music For Dreams. Describing the album as “a raw, immediate, uncompromising force,” Pavon is set to switch out the diy-styled deep-house grooves of her early singles with a starker and more dramatic sound.
