Anavar brings an aggressive sound mixed with melody and groove. Taking influences from Death Metal, Deathcore, Melodic Death Metal and Thrash Metal, we bring a sound that is crushingly unique.

Since our formation we have already shared the stage with some of Perth's best bands like Sanzu, Daybreak, Iconoclast, Xenobiotic, Dropbears, I am Zero, Surroundings, IMPALER, national bands Capture The Crown and Feed Her To The Sharks, and internationals REZUME and Chelsea Grin.

December 2014 saw the release of our debut EP "I, Dominus" with a lyric video for our track "Plight of Pawns", to much critical acclaim.

In December 2015 we released a video clip for our single "Cataclysm" which featuring a guest vocal appearance from CJ McMahon of Thy Art Is Murder.

Macromatic è un progetto elettrico di musica strumentale.

Nel gennaio 2011 si ritrovano in sala Marco Pedicini, Roberto Porzio, Paolo Petrella e Salvatore Rainone, musicisti già attivi nella scena partenopea in progetti tra i quali Slivovitz, Revenaz Quartet, Gecko's tear, tutti in un modo o nell'altro fortemente legati alla musica strumentale.

Le composizioni di Marco, scritte con vena quasi classica e marcatamente ispirate a certo progressive stile King Crimson e Frank Zappa, dopo essere passate per una buona dose di Alternative e Jazz Rock, si caricano in sala di un'energia aggressiva e tagliente.

Iniziano a suonare a piccole dosi in locali e festival a Napoli e provincia.
A luglio 2012, selezionati nel Conad Jazz Contest, si esibiscono a Umbria Jazz Festival.
In questa occasione registrano tre brani per il primo Ep, "Carne a cuocere", completamente autoprodotto.

MACROMATIC nasce da un bisogno fisiologico, un forte dolore, 'na specie 'e colica, una necessità impellente, una pulsione sessuale, un impeto violento, viscerale, 'na fetente 'e famm'.

Quello che mangiamo con le orecchie lo cachiamo dalle mani.

Macromatic è un laboratorio chimico.
Da scorie, schegge e residui organici nasce una miscela sonora tagliente e aggressiva.
Macromatic è 'a guerra 'n cap', 'e pier' spuorc', un ematoma sottocutaneo, 'na cagliosa, 'na 'ntosa 'nmiez 'a front', una malattia grave al cervello.

In una parola, come è stato più volte felicemente sintetizzato, sdkjasdvblò.

Macromatic crede nella musica e trova la sua forza nella continua ricerca di nuove possibilità sonore, a prescindere dall'esistenza di generi.

Macromatic è espressione, un modo di parlare prima che di pensare.

Macromatic was born in Naples (Italy) in January 2011. 

Marco Pedicini, with a lot of music ideas incubated for years in his head, decides to summons up Roberto Porzio (ex Revenaz Quartet, Gecko's Tear), Paolo Petrella (Revenaz Quartet, Napoli Rockers Syndicate) and Salvatore Rainone (Slivovitz) to start a project in which condense a music research out of the genres, in perpetual development.

The steady and neurotic work of composition and rehearsal leads their to Umbria Jazz 2012 in july. 
Meanwhile they release the first EP completely self-producted, recorded in the deepness of piazza Nazionale, mixed in Casa Surace, with graphic project by Casa Pedicini.

Macromatic comes up from a physiological necessity, a severe ache, a sort of colic, a pressing need, a sex urge, a violent, visceral, outburst, a stinker hunger.

What we eat with ears, let out with hands.

Macromatic is a chemical laboratory. 
From wastes, splinters and organic remains comes up a sharp and aggressive sonic blend. 
Macromatic is the war in the head, the dirty feet, a subcutaneous haematoma, a punch in the middle of the forehead, a severe brain disease.

In one word: agdòjadfhgò.

Macromatic is expression, a way of speaking before that a way of thinking.
