Philadelphia's own Crucial Device have recently released an industrial guitar driven synthpunk recording from beyond the grave titled "Diary of a Synthpunk"! We are featuring a selection from Diary of a Synthpunk during this week's edition of Sound + Vision!

We are also featuring a new pulsating darksynth track from the Hudson-Valley, NY based electronic act, Teledeath, giving another spin to the great new singles by Deep Red and Zwaremachine and another piece from Mike Hans Steffl's brilliant new ambient-electronic album based on and influenced by Greek Mythology, "Complicated Connections"!

Sound + Vision: September 25 & 29, 2024 broadcast

Inertia, the band who Gary Numan once referred to as "the best and most aggressive band in London" are celebrating their 32nd anniversary in 2024 by releasing their 14th studio album "Estranged Icon" on the Distortion Productions, LLC label!   The lead single from the album, 'Scowl' got to #2 on the German Alterative Chart, and we are featuring Scowl this week on Sound + Vision!

We are also featuring more from the recent release "Diary of a Synthpunk" by Philadelphia's own Crucial Device, brand new horror laden darksynth / witch house infused music from Reading, Pennsylvania's The Russian White, and more from the brilliant new ambient-electronic spacemusic recording by Paul Ellis and Per Thomhav, "Orpheus"!

This month we are preparing for and celebrating Halloween, with selections from multiple Horror Soundtracks, old favorites by Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Ministry, Iron Maiden, and Type O Negative, and newer titles by Dracula Party , The Quilz, Sonikdevil & Mach FoX, and ΣΕΘ(SET) - plus we can't celebrate Halloween without some Helloween!!

Friday Night Frights: sixth edition, 10/25/2024

Paul Ellis and Pabellon Sintetico released one of our favorite recordings of 2023, "Clouds and Terrain". They are back with a brilliant new ambient electronic recording titled "Veiled Portraits" that is at times rhythmic, at other times more atmospheric. We are featuring a piece from Veiled Portraits this week on Sound + Vision!

We are also featuring brand new music from the dark electro-rock duo Amulet, more from the recent release from Philadelphia synthpunk outfit Crucial Device, and the Disturbed take on a big him from the 1980's that is apropos for election week here in the US!

Additionally, Neil Young turns 79 years young this week, and for the first time on Sound + Vision, we are featuring a selection from Neil, and will make it a sort of double shot by also featuring The Quilz new take on Neil Young's "Vampire Blues"!!

Sound + Vision: November 6 & 10, 2024 broadcast

This month we are traveling south of heaven, dabbling in voodoo, escaping from killer klowns, and spinning selections from the soundtracks of a few fairly obscure horror flicks!  We are also cranking it up to 11 and beyond with rocking tracks by Slayer, Van Halen, Overkill, Marilyn Manson, and Motörhead, and featuring new and recent selections from Corlyx, Dracula Party, Mach Fox, SET, Sonikdevil and others!

To help celebrate Halloween 2025, I present a two hour edition of Friday Night Frights, featuring selections from multiple horror soundtracks, gothic rock and industrial rock tracks from the 1980's and 1990's, recent favorties from Sonikdevil & Mach Fox, Dracula Party, and ΣΕΘ(SET), a piece from Philadelphia's own David Talento and much more! Halloween may be over, but this set of music can be enjoyed year round by fans of horror and dark music!!
