There i am, in the middle of a workout class, and the next  track fades in... Big Bad Mama by Foxy Brown, a 1997 release from Def Jam that samples 'She's a Bad Mama Jama'. I've never heard this funky thumper before and it had to be shared and thus inspired a bit more of a 90s (maybe 80s too?) inspired mix.

This time I'm introducing some favorites of mine across genres united by the simple fact that they break through the classic verse-chorus-verse-chorus format to instead bring forth a more wandering journey. Be it a less-than-two-minute interlude track, a four-stanza poem sung by a country supergroup, or a multi-chapter hip hop saga, this episode certainly jumps around a lot... so there's no shame for fast forwarding often, but hopefully you'll find some new favorites or hear something new in an old one.
