My goal in any song is to capture that 'salt on the table' moment... where we get drawn toward common objects, out of place in the heady spaces our most intense situations. Things that root you into the here and now. My goal is to create a common language between the depths of being emotionally strung out and simple human truths like lost keys, condensation on a glass cooling, a scent that brings you someplace else entirely. - JpK
