Thank you to Sofa Sessions for inviting me to the series! Such a privilege to be able to do a full video set during my last hours as a UAE resident. 

I took the opportunity to structure this mix, albeit quickly, as a goodbye to Dubai and welcome to my new home in London.

Kyle Bower is a Canadian DJ based in London. A common face in East London's scene, Kyle’s love for electronic music began during his time in Montréal, Canada. His mix series "BULLSEYE" chronicles the constant evolution in his sound and mixing style while conveying a story with each edition. 

As his travels brought him through Europe and the Middle East, he took the decks playing techno, hard house, and everything beyond. His deep cuts from the hard dance spectrum bring dancers from introspective depths to soaring highs as he navigates through his distinct sound and broad range. Rave classics with a fresh take, breakbeats, jacking house, and refined techno line his sets while layering ambient and driving textures with flooding basslines.

About the Mix:

When I was asked to put this together I knew I wanted to lean towards the more stripped back, minimal spectrum of my sound. With the party and mix series being based out of Montréal, a former home of mine, I reflected a bit on the sound that shaped my taste while living there. It’s where I first came into being an adult, and a queer person. 

Looking where I am now at what I’ve been able to accomplish, it wouldn’t be possible without the incredible highs and lows of being freshly out of closet there where I first came into queer nightlife.

Recorded using 2 CDJ Nexus-2000’s and a DJM-900, this mix explores minimal house and techno, house, tech house, acid, and breaks.
