WhatStyle is the mastermind urban music project of two unidentified life forms currently residing in Denver, CO. AceBreakz & Run619 grew up surviving on vinyl and bass. Going to many rave parties, they became infatuated with electronic music in all its glorious forms! Both life forms, having played many underground parties with 2 turntables and a bag of vinyl, definitely know how to fill any dancefloor! Don't be surprised to hear BREAKS mixed with ELECTRO HOUSE, matched with DUBSTEP, smashed with HIP-HOP, and mangled with some D&B, DRUMSTEP, NU-SKOOL, dirty BASS BEATS!

Freakshow's offer all different kinds of attractions, to all different kinds of people and I feel that is what my music is like. So, welcome to the FREAKSHOW!

Growing up as a young child in 1980's NYC, AceBreakz had his 1st exposure to the underground culture of hip-hop. MC ing, break dancing, graffiti art, and of course, the Dj were the elements that would become the core of AceBreakz life. These elements would stick w/him as his family moved from NY to settle in Denver, CO. Throughout the early 90s AceBreakz realized his taste in music was becoming vast. Influences from the grunge music scene like Nirvana, STP, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden would mend with his love for hip-hop which, at that time was the golden era mid-late 1990's. Add to that his new found live for the underground rave scene, which was thriving throughout the mid 90s-early 2000's before becoming more main stream. The rave scene would be the catalyst for AceBreakz 1st set of turntables, a pair of Technique 1200's. He was able to develope a style that, at the time, was quiet unique priding himself on the art of turntablism, genre blending breakbeats, deep house, drum & bass, and hip-hop. He soon became a favorite in the underground Denver rave scene, sought after for his technical beat matching, genre to genre, track selection that, to this day, draws attention from music connoisseurs looking to hit the dance floor, close their eyes, and feel the music as they dance to the sexy sounds of deep melodic bass music, mysterious, sexy, vocal heavy sounds will take you on a journey to another planet n back. Fast forward to the Digital era, AceBreakz adapted n now uses a MacBook air w/Traktor S4 controller, a MIDI Fighter 3D, and Traktor DJ software. Nowadays AceBreakz lays low behind the scenes, making an occasional but, always TIMELESS mixtape in his always evolving style for building production skills, a new LIVE show image adding the MIDI Fighter 3D.
