Here it is: the second installment of my Jungle Spirit series! A 96 minute journey into the realms of Psychedelic Trance mixed on the date of the Winter Solstice and featuring a high octane selection of my preferred trip advisors.

It took me more than a year to come up with another Dj mix which pays tribute to the intoxicating vibe of underground gatherings of the Far East and far beyond, which contains the essence of the terms PSYCHEDELIC and TRANCE, has a deep  hallucinogenic touch and which ensures the manifestation of a restless leg syndrome - plus, creates a true and interesting journey with an unexpected ending and welcomes the winter season....hallelujah, a lot of tasks! :)

But BOOM, I am surprisingly happy with the outcome and I hope you will share and enjoy this ride with me! <3

2018.08.24 - Radiance - An Opening Reception For Kaliptus At PVAG

So where to even begin with this... I get back from an amazing weekend with the most amazing people ever, & I extract the audio recording... & it's unusable... I was devastated... But then I watched the video that I recorded off my phone... & hearing the crowd reaction to this set, I was very inspired... & with a bit of compression & EQ balancing in Logic (because apparently my phone knows how to compensate itself so it doesn't clip), I uploaded this version of my set... Yes, there will be parts where the audio will fade out & fade back in because my phone started a new file (I have 2 hours of continuous video split across 4 files), & yes, you may hear me clicking away as I cue up the next track, & yes, you may hear me talking to myself onstage etc... But this is the set I want to remember that amazing weekend by...  Because it's not just me... It was us... Together, we shared in this experience... & I want to remember this day with the crowd in it, this day when I had the courage to finally play my own track live for the first time (hesitated twice but I finally committed, let's just say I went skydiving the week before & jumping out of a plane was easier to do than me playing that track out) & the reaction to it & now knowing that I am on the right path, that I am progressing & I am excited to continue to grow & in time reach my maximum potential...

Everyone who was there at the Sun Stage that afternoon, thank you so much... You all inspire me to be the very best I can be, & I look forward to more special moments of connection like this in the near future!

Koi Sound & Cosmal, thank you so much for trusting me with priming the stage for this show... I know that I am on the circuit for psytrance sets, so you taking a chance on me means a lot to me, & I was sure to prepare for this to the best of my ability & do well by the likes of you, Shapesift, Phosphore Visuals, & the legendary Ott. :) I would also like to thank Erin Ludwig, whose artist & song  recommendations in the weeks leading up to that night put me on the right path as I dove deep into researching & expanding my collection of psychedelic dub. :D & of course, thank you everyone who made it early to catch my opening set, for your energy & presence definitely empowered me & helped me get over my onstage anxiety due to this being my debut psydub appearance, & all of your kind words to me after my set... Thank you. <3

The theme of this set was water, in particular, the duality it embodies for me. When initially looking out at bodies of water, I see the sky in its reflection, & it is truly serene. However, if I continue to look deeper, I feel pulled into its depths, & the questions posed to me down there are of intrigue. This set for me was an exercise in accepting both the light & darkness that exists in my personal waters, & to ultimately allow others to see this contrast within me. & based upon the feedback received from my performance that night, perhaps I will open up my inner waters to the public again in the near future...
