Kyrstyn Pixton is a Bay Area based songwriter and producer— Something of a singular phenomenon, she is on a mission to merge the subtlety and heart of vocally-based composition with the enveloping production and danceability of electronica. Creating unique live shows that blend piano, voice, electronics, and even impromptu loops from audience participation, her sound weaves intricate song-spells with luscious vocal harmonies and vast hard-hitting electro-acoustic soundscapes.

Her debut album "Embyrs" made quite a splash, enduringly proving to be the kind of album listeners play over and over again, and more is on the way!

Music moods change constantly, but I will always chase musically induced euphoria.

 Good music causes a large rush of dopamine to flow into the ventral tegmental area of the brain, and then sends signals to the nucleus accumbens, which is largely responsible for addiction and impulsivity. 

Dopamine in the ventral striatum has the capability of eliciting the same neurochemical reactions that basic survival and drug use produces. This speaks to the incredible power that music has over us, and also proves that the chills you get when listening to that perfect song is not only reproducible, but biologically programmed into every one of us.
