Creative freedom...

Abe Van Dam, from Canada, first started releasing electronic music in 2011, but his affinity for creating music goes back much further. Citing early influences like Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, the Who and while In high-school - Tool, Alice in Chains, and especially Soundgarden. In those teen years, Abe first explored song-writing, and developed a passion for putting chords together on a guitar... as well as exploring his writing skills.

In the late 1990s Abe was introduced to electronic music by a friend, introducing him to compositional pioneers from Ninja Tune, also, artists like Amon Tobin, Autechre, and Aphex Twin – a catalyst for forming new musical ideas. A music production layman at that time, he did not release, but explored the electronic sound extensively.

Moving on, Abe decided to explore sound design and release music as part of his compositional process. New songs feature unique sounds that meld newfound influences in various styles of techno and progressive house.

L.Ap. started his music career back in 2013 releasing progressive and electro house under his real name. Back in 2016 he released his first techno record with his current stage name and has been producing underground techno ever since. 
He is a Slovakia born Dj and producer currently living in Sydney, Australia.
In a fairly short period of time has already gained support from international artists, releasing on labels such as Gain Records, Black Kat, Mavic Music, Boiler Underground Records, Oscuro Music, Bubblejam and many more.
In his weekly podcast “Apollo Live Podcast” L.Ap. showcasing established and upcoming techno artists from all around the world.
