Dear listeners, we are proud to introduce you to https://soundcloud.com/l-i-v-i-a , even if some of you know her as being a mainstay of the European underground scene for some years. 

As a teenager, the half italian / half French dj was already listening to FG radio - back in the days you could hear underground music with radioshows hosted by Dj Deep and Laurent Garnier. When she moved to Roma at the sweet age of 18, she discovered the thursdays at the notorious Goa Club and decided to film a documentary about the electronic scene the year after, interviewing the biggest names in the game at that time - they are still the same now. With the documentary being funded by a MTV holding, Livia buys her turntables and her first records. 
After a stop in NYC where she creates Blindbeat, a video clip production company, she flies back to Europe and begins to play in various clubs, being a full time Dj since a Cercle show put her on the international map. Over the years our Dj started to miss a proper balance and eventually got back to the movie side, assisting the realisation of documentaries for Arte and France 5, while selecting the gigs she really enjoys.

This podcast is a light taste of what Livia has been collecting over her carreer and has been playing recently, with a summer flava we all miss now. Fun fact: the mix has been recorded at D’julz’ place, another Paris hero Livia got to know while filming her first documentary, 14 years ago and being friends since then.

But now Let’s dive into this podcast and skip the winter, already jumping in summer 2020.

Paris, New-York, Rome, we are not sure anymore from where the Livia tree gets its roots. Seeing its multiple inspirations, probably from a little bit of everywhere. Dj, director, harpist, artist in any case, she who squated the Conservatoire de Paris, simply explains this amazing quality for digging thanks to an education full of diversity and openmindness. House, micro, techno, the road is scattered with gems for high quality dj sets. Intense and effective selects, it smells like delight and dance, tout simplement.

Lets Discult Podcast #27 - Livia

For this 7th podcast of the series, we’re super glad to receive @L-i-v-i-a on board ! 
A few days ago, Livia recorded a stream for the Diggers Festival and kindly offered us to release her mix for our next boomcast, which we accepted with great pleasure! 
As mentioned at the beginning of the recording, expect from her a broad spectrum of happy tunes mixed flawlessly in order to hold a little longer the end of the lockdown.

"I did three mixes (streaming and podcast) during this last lockdown and I wanted each one of them to be different to represent a different mood and state of mind!

The first one was very melancholic and electro. The second one was very positive going from Jazz to House music. This one is the most diverse one. It start with Ambient tracks and goes to Techno, Electro, House, Breakbeat and to Progressive at the end.
