Brooklyn Baby is a french DJ and Producer based in the greater Paris area. He has released his 1st EP "Hold it" in 2020 on Fresh Take Records. Since then, he has released tracks with various labels such as GLBDOM, Hustler Trax or Fantin Zoo Records. His music is very housy and dancefloor-orientated, built around jazz, hip hop, funk & disco samples. He draws his influences from the 90s House Scene but also from nowadays producers such as Sebb Junior, Angelo Ferrari, Kerri Chandler or encore Adryiano...In 2022, Brooklyn Baby is signing his first EP "For The Soul" with Frappé to much success !

Shortcut is a Parisian-based duo who - over the last 2 years - has crafted its own interpretation of electronic music into a wide range of productions. Their work is blurring the lines between House music and a more minimal sound, proposing undertones of Jazz and chillout vibes. Their tracks have earnt a spot on some great labels such as Sake, Deux Mesures or Tento.

Launched in 1992 Madhouse Records Inc was a joint venture between US DJ and producer Kerri Chandler and Mel Medalie’s Champion Records. Mel met Kerri on a trip to the US whilst visiting Todd Terry at Idler’s Studio in Brooklyn (whose Royal House project was later released on Champion).

Madhouse became predominantly an outlet for Kerri’s music, as well as tracks from his producer friends and tracks he came across through his extensive DJ experience. The sound of the label was rooted in Deep and Soulful House, some instrumentals but on the whole full vocal tracks.

The first release on the label was a 6-track sampler entitled “A Basement, A Red Light & A Feelin’” which showcased some of the artists and releases to come, and sold in excess of 100,000 copies on vinyl alone.

Singles and EP’s followed from Matrix (one of Kerri’s own aliases), Dreamer G, Christopher McCray, mostly produced, co-produced or remixed by Kerri himself. The catalogue also features collaborations with Jerome Sydenham, Dennis Ferrer (whose recent release “Hey Hey” is one of the biggest club smashes in recent history), and even Jazz legend Roy Ayers on the huge “Good Vibrations”.

Into the 2000’s Kerri put together two albums, the first being “10 Years Of Madhouse”, a retrospective mixed CD looking back at some of the major successes and favourite releases over the life of the label, as well as some hand-picked new tracks from Christopher McCray and Dee Dee Brave. In 2002 a second volume of “A Basement, A Red Light & A Feelin’” featuring some brand new tracks, and some classics, plus a bonus CD of the album mixed live at Centro Fly, New York was released, and gained huge sales and critical success.

In 2010 the entire catalogue of singles, EP’s and albums has been completely remastered and made available for digital download for the first time, including some previously unreleased rarities.

Dub Striker - Time Flies

Accompanied by his groovy bass, his keyboard, and his natural glibness, Georges is a real Swiss Army knife at the confluence of house, jazz and disco. After his first solo EP "Cagnard" and his EP in collaboration with the famous producer Bellaire "Contrasts", he discovered himself in "Sights" signed to Boogie Angst and progressively gained a large fanbase with an original, organic and singular music. Georges is back in october 2022 with a unique track, as he has the secret, with disco-funk inspirations. "Cheers" is the second extract from his future EP. Piano, bass and horns are featured in this original track, a cross between the electro mixes of Breakbot, Folamour or Dave Lee.

On the A, title track ‘Le Doigt De Toto’ kicks off the journey with its infectious bassline, sweeping pads and absorbing vocals. Beachside or boothside, this one hits just right. Berlin’s Cinthie then works her magic giving it a late night, heads down, deep house rework.

Flip it for another two gems, the jazz-infused, acid-tinged ‘Riesling’ featuring Coupe Melba that slips down like a smokey Negroni with an added kick and the slap bass channelling, cosmic percussive workout ‘Esperance’.

At this time, we have an exotic ep by Zaratustra a DJ/Producer based in Paris, evolving in the indie dance and dark disco genres. Lately, with his latest "White Magic" EP on Ulla Records and releases to come on the Parisian label Skylax Records, he has been blending rock instruments with electronic rhythms, focusing on 80s-like vocals. As a DJ, he likes to take the audience on a dark and mysterious journey.
We've got an amazing remix by Austher whose sound is Influenced by Disco/Funk classics and Electronic music since he stands on his two feet, Austher blends bright cosmic melodies on dark and powerful basslines with his naive vision of the world. His music is inspired by the 80's aesthetic but with a dark and dystopian point of view.

Camion Bazar deliver ‘Horizon’ this October, the first track from the ‘Alteration’ EP, set for release in 2023 and marking the beginning of their live ‘Alteration’ show they’ll be touring throughout that year.
Camion Bazar is the collaborative guise of Paris, France based duo Benedetta Bertella and Romain Hemono, notably known for nightlife activity as DJ’s and stage curators, material on their own Jaki Records and a regular radio show on Rinse France. ‘Alteration’ is the new musical concept being introduced by Camion Bazar, it’s focus will be to musically showcase altered perception and to rediscover nature as a sacred place.
‘Horizon’ is the first track to surface publicly from the project, a pop-electronic ballad with a positive message, the opening of the live show and the beginning of the story. Across its nine-minute duration
‘Horizon’ meanders through psychedelic, circling synth lines, elongated sub bass tones, intricately intertwined stab sequences, airy vocal chants and dubbed out chords which all ebb and flow around a sturdy rhythmic foundation.

Soutenir la scène française c’est aussi développer les scènes locales. C’est dans cette optique que La Pépinière veut à terme proposer des événements techno et house éclectiques et pluri-artistiques dans plusieurs villes de France avec pour seule limite l’envie du public.
