French firecracker Adrien Calvet shacks up on those sun-kissed Bali shores providing a luscious EP for Pantai People’s fifth release. Soulful serenity underpinned by bumping house grooves with that distinctive French feel.

On the A, title track ‘Le Doigt De Toto’ kicks off the journey with its infectious bassline, sweeping pads and absorbing vocals. Beachside or boothside, this one hits just right. Berlin’s Cinthie then works her magic giving it a late night, heads down, deep house rework.

Flip it for another two gems, the jazz-infused, acid-tinged ‘Riesling’ featuring Coupe Melba that slips down like a smokey Negroni with an added kick and the slap bass channelling, cosmic percussive workout ‘Esperance’.

From the back of the theatre stalls, she watched intensely, unable to tear her gaze away from the performance playing out on stage. The group of dancers moved so effortlessly, as if they were floating on air. Their limbs intertwined with one another creating beautiful shapes and figures upon the white backdrop; each silhouette as elegant as the next. She was totally beguiled by their movement, how their motion was so attuned - it felt like they were one entity, weightlessly flowing in unison.

Kalam Hub marks the fifth release on Palms Trax's Cooking With Palms Trax (CWPT) label, a platform for his own music and like-minded contemporaries. Conceived by Dublin-based producer Moving Still, the six-track EP continues his sonic exploration of his Saudi Arabian and Irish heritage that we've previously heard on a stellar collection of 12" edits and releases for Jive Hive and Nail Shop. A master of melody and rhythm, Moving Still marries traditional Middle Eastern melodies and tight, driving bass lines with a sprinkling of his varied influences from Italo and dub to breakbeat and electro.

Camion Bazar deliver ‘Horizon’ this October, the first track from the ‘Alteration’ EP, set for release in 2023 and marking the beginning of their live ‘Alteration’ show they’ll be touring throughout that year.
Camion Bazar is the collaborative guise of Paris, France based duo Benedetta Bertella and Romain Hemono, notably known for nightlife activity as DJ’s and stage curators, material on their own Jaki Records and a regular radio show on Rinse France. ‘Alteration’ is the new musical concept being introduced by Camion Bazar, it’s focus will be to musically showcase altered perception and to rediscover nature as a sacred place.
‘Horizon’ is the first track to surface publicly from the project, a pop-electronic ballad with a positive message, the opening of the live show and the beginning of the story. Across its nine-minute duration
‘Horizon’ meanders through psychedelic, circling synth lines, elongated sub bass tones, intricately intertwined stab sequences, airy vocal chants and dubbed out chords which all ebb and flow around a sturdy rhythmic foundation.

No Different’s music could be somewhere in the space between house, old school breaks and lo-fi aesthetics. Always trying to create a sound that is as much about emotion and exploration as it is about embracing the dance floor. His production combine industrial sounds with delicate sounds that aim to return to the roots of house music with elegant lo-fi.  ‘I Know You Don't’ is the first EP released in Australia by Adelaide-based producer Julian Giraldo, who is assembling a back catalogue of understated, hypnotic tracks that are subtly colourful in their production. The music on "I Know You Don't" illustrates a rising energy born from the confines of nostalgia, reflecting our patient return to clubbing and nightlife around the world, further showing that Adelaide is fertile ground for the LoFi house scene. Ten Fingerz delivers a strong, electronic and funky 3-tracker on his first solo EP «Fingerz Wurk». The record is a blend of the DJ's Chicago, Detroit and Paris influences. The title track is a modern take on the hip-house and acid sounds, with infectious vocals and a funky, modulated bassline. On «Jeune Rave», early Detroit techno-style synth stabs meet an acid-statured loop and thumping drum programming. A tribute to the first techno tracks to hit European raves' dancefloor in the 90s. Finally «Love spell» uses a very bouncy bassline, along with hypnotic vocals and synth loops to build an electronic climax. A DJ's pick of choice to close their set.

"When Octo Octa sent us the demos for her first full-length record since 2013, we were floored by how many tracks were single worthy. But, there was one that stood out as something entirely on its own, a song that in many ways sounded like nothing Maya had ever released. Since the beginning, we always knew we wanted to do something special with "Adrift," the 8+ minute space-age synth-dub techno tune. When we asked Maya about doing a 12" with remixes we were blindsided to learn she has NEVER had any of her music remixed before. C’est convaincu que la France est un terreau de talents musicaux que La Pépinière est née. Avec pour but de promouvoir artistes, DJs, collectifs et labels. 

La Pépinière se veut être le porte étendard d’une culture techno française sans aucune rigidité de structure mais avec une simple volonté : faire grandir la scène française et grandir avec elle. 

La France étant pionnière de la démocratisation de la culture techno, de nombreux artistes français se sont appropriés les codes de ce style électronique riche et ont permis d’en montrer tous ses aspects, les plus doux, comme les plus sombres. C’est pourquoi nous avons décidé de les mettre en lumière pour montrer que nous français on fait les choses bien. En fait non, on fait les choses mieux !

Soutenir la scène française c’est aussi développer les scènes locales. C’est dans cette optique que La Pépinière veut à terme proposer des événements techno et house éclectiques et pluri-artistiques dans plusieurs villes de France avec pour seule limite l’envie du public.
