Entomdre: The Sound of Hidden Meanings, A Musical Pun.

Entomdre is more than a name—it’s an entendre in itself, a fusion of Tom and Dre, layered with depth, duality, and hidden messages. Just as the name conceals meaning within meaning, so does the music. Every track is a puzzle, a coded message, a sonic riddle waiting to be unraveled.

Blending the raw energy of rock and metal with the hypnotic pulse of house and prog-psy-tech, Entomdre thrives in the space where organic meets mechanical. Their sound is deeply rooted in North Queensland’s bush prog, evolving like nature itself—complex, relentless, and ever-changing. Thomas, known for his solo project Auditory Illusion, brings his intricate production style, while Dre’s influence and home studio channels a heavier, groove-driven aesthetic.

Each composition is crafted with intention, weaving together carefully placed sounds, samples, and references that invite the listener into a deeper experience. No track exists on a single plane. Instead, they unfold in layers—musical puns, subtle Easter eggs, and sometimes, a bad dad joke disguised as an existential statement.

Take the track "Destined for Dust", written in the wake of the 2024 U.S. election. At first glance, the title nods to the dusty dancefloors where it’s meant to be played. But beneath the surface, it’s a dark and twisted reflection of the US's political chaos. The track layers in a famous podcaster, where Joe Biden is called a lizard, countered by Trump’s climate change stance, followed by the impassioned words of a climate activist, "How dare you!" A distorted echo of Pink Floyd’s “tear down the wall” collides with Trump’s own declaration: “We are building the wall; we have no choice.” A dancefloor statement, laced with dark humor, satire, and an eerie undertone of where the world is headed. Just an example of how layered each track comes to be.

Entomdre is a multi-layered sonic expedition, their art concept taking inspiration from the intricate world of entomology, the duo fuses organic percussion with driving psy-tech and electro synths, creating grooves that embody the energy of North Queensland’s iconic bush prog sound, while much busier and more energized. Entomdre’s music evolves like nature itself, blending complexity, momentum, and raw power into a soundscape that’s both primal and futuristic.

Each track offers a unique experience, revealing deeper layers with every listen.

Raul Freitas, known artistically as DJ Interpeace, is from Anápolis, Goiás, with an established trajectory in the psy trance universe. His involvement with electronic music began in 2005, when he was introduced to the psychedelic universe, beginning a journey that led him to play at several events around Goiás, including renowned festivals such as Kranti, in 2010. 

Over the years, DJ Interpeace expanded his horizons, traveling to Europe, where he had the opportunity to deepen his knowledge by introducing music production and absorbing influences from the international scene. This period was crucial for his artistic growth, allowing him to refine his style and add new elements to his music. 

Currently, based in Dublin, Raul is exploring new sounds with his musical project, focused on the dark prog and zenonesque aspects, always with the aim of taking psychedelia to new horizons. With renewed enthusiasm, DJ Interpeace seeks to innovate and contribute significantly to the global electronic music scene, whilst remaining true to his roots and the spirit of psychedelic music.

Atualmente, com base em Dublin, Raul está explorando novas sonoridades com seu projeto musical, focado nas vertentes do dark prog e zenonesque, sempre com o objetivo de levar a psicodelia para novos horizontes. Com um entusiasmo renovado, DJ Interpeace busca inovar e contribuir de forma significativa para o cenário global da música eletrônica, mantendo-se fiel às suas raízes e ao espírito da música psicodélica.
