Moodyverse continues its journey by welcoming Saintbull to the label with a standout three-track release that blends melodic intensity, inventive sound design, and undeniable groove.

The release opens with “Shadows on a Blue Moon” — a peak-time melodic techno weapon. Driven by bold, distinctive leads and relentless energy, the track delivers emotional impact while keeping its focus firmly on the dance floor.

Next comes “Wow! Signal,” an otherworldly dive into Saintbull’s unique sonic world. Fusing experimental textures with a powerful low-end and striking melodic elements, it leaves a lasting impression and highlights his signature style.

Closing the release, SNYL offers a slick reinterpretation of “Wow! Signal,” transforming it into a groove-heavy journey. With rolling percussion, vibrant synth work, and fluid rhythmic progression, the remix brings a warm, late-night energy that wraps the release in style.

This marks a bold debut for Saintbull on Moodyverse — one that strikes a perfect balance between originality and club-ready firepower.

"I wrote this song for my father. The title was inspired by my younger self’s love for origami. I compared my perception of my dad as a young boy to a blank, creaseless piece of paper. Where you see your parent as this super human that knows all and does no wrong. As I grew older, each step was like putting a fold in the paper, with each fold representing a chapter in the relationship. When all the folds finally come together, you get this paper swan. A point of understanding and genuine friendship."

We are delighted to premiere "Hope in Azania", taken from renown drummer Asher Gamedze's incredible debut LP, 'Dialectic Soul', released via On The Corner Records on July 10th. A joyous jazz piece that is proudly South African.

Asher Gamedze is one of the foremost jazz musicians in Cape Town, and on 'Dialectic Soul' he is joined by the cream of his hometown's musical crop: Thembinkosi Mavimbela on bass, Buddy Wells on tenor sax, Robin Fassie-Kock on trumpe and Nono Nkoane on vocals.

This is jazz at its most spiritual, most progressive and most appealing form. As Asher himself says: "'Dialectic Soul' is about motion and a refusal to remain static or stay still. It’s the commitment to be continually moving".

Recorded live over two days at the Sound and Motion Studios in Cape Town with renowned musicians (Thembinkosi Mavimbela (bass), Buddy Wells (tenor sax), Robin Fassie-Kock (trumpet) Nono Nkoane (voc)), 'Dialectic Soul' is breathtaking in its musical vitality and expression of soul seeking truth. By incorporating the concept of the Total Art for this project, it fits perfectly within On The Corner's aesthetic of music, art and vision for creative innovation.

According to Asher, "This song, known as 'Cape to Cairo' or 'Azania', comes from the Pan-Africanist and Black Consciousness traditions of liberation politics in South Africa. It speaks to the urgent desire and project to liberate the continent from 'Cape to Cairo, Morocco to Madagascar.' 'Azania' refers to an imagined liberated South Africa. It resonates with a hope that has galvanised generations of revolutionaries from this country, and links us to the rest of the continent and the diaspora through Pan-Africanism."

Labdi is a singer-songwriter, performer and instrumentalist.She plays the Orutu, a single-stringed fiddle from Western Kenya which was a taboo for women to play.
Labdi is inspired by music from Africa, specifically Western Kenya and the Lake Victoria region , where she is from.
