Gerardo Esteban López Pino,  aka Elop, was born in Palmira, Colombia. Deeply influenced by the vibrant sounds of Cuban salsa, techno, house, and minimal music, Elop has developed a distinctive style characterized by hypnotic rhythms and deep, immersive grooves.

He has held residencies at renowned venues such as TBA Brooklyn in New York City, as well as in Miami and Cali, Colombia, among others — consistently captivating audiences with his infectious beats.

Elop is also the founder and resident artist of LazyRecords, a label he established in New York in 2019. Currently based between Madrid, Alicante, and Ibiza, he continues to shape the underground electronic scene, performing at major festivals like Polar Experience and collaborating with key venues that champion Madrid’s underground sound, including Cadvra.

The 24th edition of the ubiyu Mix Series is here, and this month we’re excited to welcome Swansea’s own Rumps, co-runner of South Wales–based label Yumyun Records.

@rumps has been carving out a name for himself in the UK underground with a sound rooted in deep, groove-driven music. Based in South Wales, he’s been steadily shaping his identity as a DJ and producer, pushing forward a style we’ve come to really recognize and love — so much so that we’re excited to announce that our next ubiyu release will be by Rumps. The EP is titled Hitting Bridges and will feature 5 tracks which have already earning early support from DJs including DJ Pipe, Thalo Santana and Kearun. 

Until then, here’s an hour that reflects where his sound is headed. It’s one of those sets that captures the vibe of late-night movement and warm, hypnotic energy. We’ve been loving this mix and are stoked to share it with y’all as we roll into December. Hit play, settle in, and enjoy the ride.

Francisco Ruiz-Tagle, a Chilean DJ and producer with nearly 20 years of experience, has built a solid career both in Chile and internationally. Born in Santiago, he began his musical journey at an early age and has been an active figure in the national electronic music scene since 2006, performing at the country’s most renowned clubs. His style blends influences from Minimal, Deep, and Tech House with experimental elements and a forward-thinking sound.

Throughout his career, he has performed on stages in Berlin, New York, Tokyo, Barcelona, Mexico City, Guayaquil, Buenos Aires, and Prague, sharing the booth with artists such as Nick Warren and Argenis Brito. His music has been released on labels like Little Helpers, Global Underground, Resonance, among others. Since 2015, he has been part of Casa de Salud in Concepción, one of the most influential cultural venues in southern Chile.

In 2025, he launches his own label, Diar Muzik, focused on curating artists aligned with his sonic aesthetic, including original material and close collaborations. The first EP from the catalog will be available on July 4th across major digital platforms.
