Lucy is the nom de techno of Italian-born and Berlin-based Luca Mortellaro, one of the genre’s most exciting and ambitious DJ/producers. Since 2009, Mortellaro has focused his work through his own Stroboscopic Artefacts label, building an imprint and personal discography that has established itself as one of techno’s finest.
Lucy (née Luca Mortellaro) is one of the pre-eminent sonic adventurers of his time. Not bound to conventional pre-conceptions of what an electronic musician, producer, or DJ must be, Lucy has evolved his distinct sound signature by reconciling the deeply personal with the esoteric, and by harmonizing the spheres of technology and biology. In doing so, he has become rare as an artist, in his ability to please an audience while also introducing them to elements they were not yet familiar with and thereby pushing them out of their comfort zone. Whether he is acting in the role of producer, DJ, performer, or Stroboscopic Artefacts’ curator, Lucy’s clear passion for creative evolution and mutation is something that continues to attract new listeners, and keeps giving his current supporters new reasons to continue tuning in.

Mattia Trani is considered one of the most talented young artists of the techno music landscape of recent years, both Italian and European. Born in a musical family, he starts fostering his passion for music as a child, building his background by studying the piano at first, and then focusing on DJing and musical production.
The obsessive research of new sounds, as well as the use of analog instruments (drum machines, samplers and keyboard synths), brought him to pioneer a high-quality techno style which crosses over between Warehouse/Rave and Acid/Drum’n’Bass.
In 2012, by founding his own label Pushmaster Discs, Mattia manages to score important collaborations with international artists like Ben Sims, Juan Atkins,Ken Ishii, DJ Stingray and many others.
Today his platform represents a small “musical universe” and his work is supported by many American music heroes like Jeff Mills and Derrick May, but also European artists like Laurent Garnier , Dave Clarke and Ben Klock, with Amelie Lens and Nina Kraviz as self-proclaimed fans.
In 2014, during the party for the 20th anniversary of Bologna’s Link Club, Trani shares the console with Jeff Mills, and in that occasion the famous Italian newspaper La Repubblica defines him a “Student of the Detroit school, which Mills himself brought to fame”.
The relationship with Motor City runs deep, leading Mattia Trani to publish his own podcast on the official radio of the legendary Underground Resistance. Despite the super young age, he’s the only Italian to ever have had such a privilege.
His skills develop further in 2018 by publishing several works: the single Uncage, for example, in which explodes the thunderous remix of the one and only Donato Dozzy, and the 20th release of Pushmaster Discs: a thrilling EP, with a refined and precious remix of Steve Rachmad the European pioneer of minimalism, involved under the alias of Sterac.
During the pandemic time Mattia never stopped the ideas and release more music,infact on 2020 his track “quasistar” was selected and released by Nina Kraviz on Trip recordings,in 2021 the Italian producer released his second album “SCENERY”, a timeless Hardgroove/Rave/Nu-Techno/Jungle - DNB 15 tracks inside a big triple vinyl box.
After 2 years from the album, Trani’s published “SCENERY THE REMIXES” on june 2023, another big album with amazing reworks from legends of techno like Robert Hood,Marcel Dettmann,Luke Slater,Ken Ishii and many others.
At the end of 2023 he will debut on the amazing Dax J label “Monnom Black” and will start a collaboration to future projects together.
Mattia is today the only Italian artist who can claim to have scored collaborations with such big names - for this, he has gained the nickname of “the Italian King of Techno”.

Florian Meindl is a multi-talented and multi-faceted artist, who is renowned for his technical
prowess.
Producing for over fourteen years, Florian has become known for his deep, grooving powerful
techno. His productions are characterised by his love of analog, which represent his true signature
sound.
2006 saw the inception of Florian’s label FLASH Recordings. The label showcases Florian’s musical
vision, reflects his taste and gives him tracks for his DJ Mixes. A platform for artists that Florian
likes, FLASH has had over 130 releases already including tracks from Heron, Electric Rescue, Jamie
Anderson, Alignment, Hans Bouffmyhre & Avgusto.
In May 2015 Florian released his second solo album ‘Collide’ to critical acclaim. The album was
clearly influenced by Florian’s transition from producing almost entirely digitally for thirteen years
to recording mainly analog jamming sessions and editing the end results after on the computer. The
technical aspect is integral to Florian’s musical journey that he takes the listener on. His talent lies
in enabling the machines to speak and groove, to connect with them and create sounds and
patterns.
In addition to solo releases and numerous collaborations with international artists, and remixing the
likes of Hot Chip & Royksopp, Florian is busy with his sound design brand Riemann Kollektion and
Riemann Modular which is his new studio gear company specializing in Eurorack Modules.
As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established
an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an
exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desk as well as classic
machines like Roland 909.
After fourteen years of international performances and production, Florian has developed a special
connection with his analog equipment, letting them speak for him in music where words just aren’t
possible. His third album will be released in February 2017 in combination with a worldwide full
analog live act tour.

Back in 2009, Italian DJ and producer Luca Mortellaro - better known simply as Lucy - established the Stroboscopic Artefacts label. And over the last 14 years, the imprint has nurtured a reputation for its line-blurring electronic abstraction and dancefloor experimentation, releasing influential material by artists like Speedy J, Kangding Ray, Donato Dozzy, Paula Temple, Rrose, Ben Klock, Wanton Witch, and of course Lucy themselves. Naturally following the label's ten year threshold, the pandemic pause and Mortellaro's subsequent artistic re-evaluation, OTHER FACTS emerges as a fresh entity, fully unplugged from Stroboscopic Artefacts' dancefloor mainframe, with its gaze pointed on widescreen cinematic sound design and audio-visual art.
